I think we all know what the majority of the discussion of this Monday will be….

This international break is good and bad. Good because we don’t have to watch these players play for a while and they can’t ruin our weekend but it’s bad because this could’ve been 3 weeks closer to getting this season over and done with.

The biggest concern of the whole Woltemade in midfield issue is in the post match presser Eddie said he was forced by injuries to change system and play Woltemade as a 10.
There was no change in system. And Woltemade was nowhere near playing the 10 role in my eyes.
Did Eddie genuinely believe that or was he just spouting nonsense due to the emotions of rolling over to the mackems again?

If Eddie stays, I have 0 confidence that we’ll be able to recruit the kind of players we need to a) replace the outgoings, b) replace the shite we bought last season, and c) can take us to the next level.
We struggled to attract players last summer with Champions League football, this summer is going to be tougher, especially with Andy and Eddie Howe involved.
Ross Wilson needs to stamp his authority this summer (if he even has any), else we are gonna end up signing players like Marcus Tavenier, Jarrad Branthwaite and Liam Delap for £50m a pop.

Get him out. Today feels even worse than yesterday. Can’t face all the Mackems.

Another thing which needs discussed is Gordons shooting after cutting in from the left.
He does a tremendous job of beating his man and making the space.
It’s a favorable position that any world class winger/striker dreams of.
Yet he skies it almost every single time.
The first one yesterday he was inside the 18yd box.
This is supposedly a £50m+ player who cant even get the basics of not leaning back when shooting right.
Where are the coaches? Gordon could have had another 10 goals this season with all the chances hes ballooned over the bar from that position. Something which could be a serious weapon is a meme at this point.

The excuses I see for Eddie Howe is just pathetic.
Not sure when is bad enough. Unlike Howe, the board needs to be proactive when detecting a downturn in the nature of this club. This team has not put three convincing games in a row that didn’t have some sort of caveat.
Sure don’t sack him now and give him till the end of the season.
But he’s got to go after that. We need to be ambitious – and if you don’t even try and improve this situation from a manager who refuses to adapt and seems out of his depth against teams like Sunderland, Bournemouth, Everton, Brighton, Brentford , why even bother.

What was Tino doing for their winner btw? I was watching the highlights (which I had to do on the mackems’ channel because we haven’t uploaded the highlights ourselves for some reason, I’m going to assume embarrassment) and he just stood there while Brobbey tapped the ball in. Then he had the nerve to look around at his teammates, as if he wasn’t the one to blame.
Someone tell the lad he’s not playing in light blue yet.

What an absolute diabolical shitshow of a weekend. We better finish above them but the damage is already done.

I keep seeing from journalists that Howe isn’t any under pressure whatever happens the rest of this season and he’ll be given the chance to “rebuild” next season. I just don’t believe that. If we don’t make Europe next season I do genuinely think he’s done.

I know Wissa is getting pelters for the Sunderland Motm post but apparently Neave also liked it which is a bit odd considering he’s a fan of the club.

Does the FA have some sort of rule about not playing Woltemade and Murphy at the same time?
Murphy is one the best crossers of the ball I’ve seen for a good while but seems to be subbed on when the 2 meter tall forward is coming off. Pumping balls into the box for the likes of Gordon is pointless but we keep doing it anyway…

If you had the choice next season of winning the carabao cup, but losing twice to Sunderland, would you take it?

One thing that’s not being talked about in the context of the Derby shit show is that the mackems have done a number on us for ages. I think it’s 14 league meetings in a row without us beating them.
So while this current team and manager (and hierarchy) deserve all the criticism they get for this result, there’s also something much deeper going on that predates pretty much everyone at the club right now

Excited to see how Nagelsmann utilises Woltemade.
