I’ll take a bet that most of you guys will be pissed again in about 2 years or so. No matter who his successor will be.
Thank you for everything Capitan. Good luck on your next adventure. We’ll meet again.

Great player, wasn’t the right fit for the sporting director position. Wish him good luck on whatever he tackles next. I actually have really high hopes for next season.

None of this was surprising. I think everyone saw this coming. Things haven’t gone that well for him from a Sport Director Perspective and people blamed him for some decisions. I think this is a great decision and based on what I’ve seen from Kovac and Dortmund in general I think that the replacement was planned ahead of time and internally talks about what the next steps are for sure as hell have been happening. Not enough success compared to all the chances we had in the last 10 years. Simple as that.

You can argue about how good of a sporting director he was (and I find the criticisms fair), but the man gave everything he had to the Schwarzgelb for 24 years. Respect.

He’s been involved with the club for 2 more years than I discovered football and became a fan. Yes, there were issues, but, nobody is perfect. Thank you for everything Kehl. I wish you nothing but greatness in whatever you do next. Heja BVB.

As player was good but he should try his luck somewhere else

I always liked Kehl since he decided to join Dortmund after rejecting an offer from Bayern, admired him as a player and captain he always gave the club his all while he’s on the pitch, he had good and bad days since he took over from Zorc but i think he would have done much better with more financial freedom and backing from back office, IMHO him leaving is more of a confirmation to me.
