And he’s done it with a team of less recognized global megastars. Half the team are teenagers, extraordinarily well talented, but still teenagers. Imagine Flick in 3 years with a more mature group. I think a great era beckons if injuries and mental burnouts can be kept away.

And this is with a squad in a rebuilding phase… I’ve said it so many times but we are so incredibly lucky with this generation of players.
A core of Joan, Cubarsi, Pedri and Yamal. All of them are still 5 years ahead of their prime… That’s just nuts to think about considering the level they are already at. Add guys like Eric, Martin, Balde, Bernal, Gavi and Fermin and we have very solid foundation to build upon the coming years.
