Was always going to be a tough month with Bruno out. Champions league was a bit of a farce, should’ve had the first leg and their best player shouldn’t have been there second leg.
With the derby too, I would’ve said we did really well. But that performance was so lacklustre and really highlights that we are not the finished product yet.
It will need a lot of work and personnel to get to a point where we think we should be beating both Manchesters, Chelsea and Barcelona without our best player. Reality check

We have a few top players in Tonali and Bruno, Anderson would have also been there and arguably Miley.
All 4 of those players will know exactly what winning the Derby means to the fans.
Today it appeared many of the players playing for us didn’t have the hunger to play to win out there and were off the pace.
Sunderland showed that desire and hunger despite playing a team worth many tens of millions or even hundreds of millions more than theirs.
This match was reminiscent to me of the matches when we had a team of stars and went down just after Ashley had taken over when Shearer was caretaker.
The same lack of urgency and desire was there today from some.
We have a gulf in quality when Tonali, Bruno or Miley are on the pitch and when they are out.
This has to change. We should never be losing this game.
Not blaming Howe I firmly believe this is a mentality thing with some of the players, either they don’t think they are good enough or they are not, or they just don’t give a shit.
In the summer if we do get CL/Europe and that’s a big if, we have to buy quality players like those above who punch way above their weight, the difference makers.
Those are the players we need to buy and we need to slowly push the others out of the team by doing that and improve the quality overall.
If we just buy 6/8 players thinking they’ll pad the side out and replace others that’s not necessarily buying quality.
Win today and we’d be one point off 7th, three points off 6th and four points off 5th. And we fucked it. It was right there for us against our rivals who had won one in six in the league up to today. And we utterly fucked it.
Time to win 6 out of our remaining 7 games to finish on 60 points.
