I started a new game on FM last night to get rid of majority of the squad. He got pissy about being offered out so used the editor to fuck him off to Saudi leagues and edited his wage to be 1k a week.
So he’s pissing me off in both the virtual and real worlds.

So funny because when he and Saliba where in France he was the bigger talent. But Saliba has an Experienced defender with Gabriel next to him. He needs someone to guide him we need and wordclass veteran defender….

An 80 million signing that has turned out to be useless, the idea of the player is better than reality.

One of the 3 worst signings we’ve ever had. I’ve never rated him even when some were glazing him as a world class player, and just let down by injuries. No, we’re just witnessing how bad he actually is now that he’s playing week in week out.

The Dembele one is probably the most excusable. Fofana actually gets back, tries to close down Dembele, and even gets a bit of a foot on that shot. That was good defending and what it can be like if he actually tried.
The most infuriating one is Gordon since he was ahead of him but just jogs back. Lost Merino against Arsenal, gets spun on by a teenage Vergara, couldn’t match Beto’s run twice, lost his man against Atalanta, dispossessed while unnecessarily carrying the ball up against Newcastle, neither him nor Chalobah contested Woltemade in the air somehow. Gets outdone by Holjund of all people. Could’ve sworn that he was beaten easily in a 1v1 against Raul Jimenez or Ollie Watkins at home as well. Fofana is lazy too often, reckless like that second yellow against Burnley and attempting overhead kicks in his own box while on a yellow recently, loses his man too much.
It’s clear now Colwill was our best defender. Best on the ball, trying to be in the right place at the right time instead of ball watching, and he even scored the winning goal against Forest to get us CL again. He grew out of complaining to others, something Fofana still does, and had a good relationship with Sanchez.
