The Italian site L’Interista has broken the news that Inter supposedly is seriously considering signing Nico Williams this summer, adding that it can only happen with a major sale of one our current star players.
I wish this would happen, I’m a big fan of NW and think he’s the exact type of profile and has the player characteristics that we so desperately need. However, I’m realistic and seriously doubtful that we can pull it off. Many clubs with far more resources than us are after him, and supposedly his release clause is around €100M.

Athletic fan here, he literally turned down Barca, Bayern, and Arsenal to stay with us, signing a 10 year contract. Whoever made up this rumour must be living under the rock through the entire saga last year because there’s very little chance he seeks a move anywhere, especially after a rather disappointing stop-start season this year with injuries, he is looking to stabilise and regain form if anything.
