I’ve just built Bookd, the Letterboxd of football

Hello fellow Citizens,

I wanted to share an app I’ve been working on with my brother for the past few months. He recently posted the app on r/coys (a Spurs fan, I knowww): https://np.reddit.com/r/coys/comments/1rwdu91/ive_just_built_bookd_the_letterboxd_for_football/. The post ended up getting an overwhelmingly positive response, so I was hoping to share it here too.

As lifelong football fans and avid Letterboxd users, we’ve always found it hard to memorialise football memories. Most game-related Reddit comments and tweets get lost in ever-growing timelines, for instance. We felt there wasn’t really a good way to look back at games that are memorable to us.

Hence, we built Bookd to address that! We just launched last week.

We support the following features:

• Review finished games: review, rate and vote for MOTM
• Live match discussion: Twitch-style match discussion each game
• Build your diary: all your reviews and logs saved in one place
• Social aspect: follow and interact with other Bookd users
• User profile customization: favourite teams and matches to personalise your profile
• Easily find 90,000+ games across 40+ leagues: men's and women's going back to 2010
• Create lists: categorise games (AGUEROOOO moments, De Bruyne masterclasses, Pep overthinking…)
• Live scoring, stats and lineup

I’ve loved looking back at some of my favourite moments as a City fan (2021 Champions League run, No Vinny don’t shoot!, our Treble). More meaningfully, though, as a younger City fan from abroad, I feel as if Bookd offers many City fans, including me, the chance to experience some of our greatest moments we never got the chance to experience, without really being here.
