Very happy to finally see a Manchester United manager complaining very bluntly about blatant incompetency from the refs, feels like it’s been way too long and has only hurt us while others complain

  2. Nah, VAR only intervenes now if a player gets shot or karate kicked, all because teams didnt adapt when it was first introduced and they gave loads of pens.

‘Clear and obvious’ has to go. You have replays, slo mo, and three pro refs. It absolutely should have complete overruling power.

VAR is for manipulating results. It’s not for consistency. It’s not for accuracy. Clear and obvious is such an amazing piece of cover to hide behind it’s crazy. Whoever at PGMOL thought of this needed to be fired 4 seasons ago

  4. Stuart Atwell salary is near £180k a year. Our UK PM salary is near £160k.

There should be more discipline and open hearing about this ref mess.

  5. VAR only looks for “clear and obvious” errors. “Clear and obvious” is deliberately left loose so it can serve as a subjective vehicle to create storylines, drama, and fuel headlines while lining the gambling sponsors’ pockets.

Friendly reminder this is the same oaf that disallowed Lichas goal incorrectly vs Burnley, leading to a highly valuable PGMOL apology.

  7. Fun (read ‘cry’) fact: The same ref and VAR pair disallowed Licha’s goal against Burnley, for which apology was issued. ITS ALL RIGGER AND BIASED

VAR needs a complete overhaul. If the ref’s decision is wrong, it’s wrong. Who gives a fuck it makes your mate look bad, make the call anyway. These guys just pick and choose what calls they want to make.

Arsenal has been getting away with murder all season with their rugby scrum corners and Gabriel intentionally throwing himself into other players but nothing is done to curtail that. It’s a joke

  9. Fucking call them out Carrick. First time in a while where we can say we were robbed plainly

Same game same VAR team same referee practically the same foul committed but the decision was completely different.

  11. Every manager had been on the wrong side of a horrible VAR call. I wish they’d band together and collectively call for action because PGMOL is bringing the game into disrepute

Can Manchester United not openly fight this, just to put pressure on the PGMOL.
VAR should have worked here, not help/ protect the ref

VAR has done absolutely nothing to improve the game of football. All it does is reward refs who don’t make a decision over refs who do make a decision in real time. I’d rather a ref make a terrible decision with no VAR over a game where a ref makes a terrible decision and VAR doesn’t call it out. It only protects and rewards refs for being poor at their jobs.

We need an official statement from someone at United that completely obliterates the refs. Constantly complain before/after every single game. Put so much pressure on the refs that they become incapable of committing such flagrant corruption.

  15. Not getting a decision in the past was annoying, but not getting one when they have the latest technology and time to scrutinise it is fucking diabolical. Bin it.
