Merson killed this interview. I donāt care what anybody says, Saka is an elite footballer. The guy does everything right consistently, week after week, year after yearā¦the simple pass, movement off the ball, tracking back, getting balls in the box, etc. Heās a highly effective footballerā¦I donāt care that heās not doing 8 stepovers and back heels. As a lover of football, I want to watch scintillating, liquid football. As a lover of Arsenal, I want effective football. By any means necessary.

Merse is one of my favorite Arsenal players of all time. I was too young to watch matches and my family couldn't afford cable TV (U.S.) but I've watched a few match replays from back then. Thank goodness for the internet. For all you UK folks, please understand how blessed you are to be logistically so close to The Arsenal and to be able to watch them in person and on TV. You have a privilege that 100+ million Gooners do not.
