I wonder how many weeks… A hernia is presumably something that’s going to affect his movement along his line (e.g. Liverpool), although unless the number of weeks is getting into triple figures, it would probably be generous to attribute his kicking issues to it.

Reminds me of Sonny’s few years back. No wonder it hits his performance.

I have total faith that kinsky can bounce back and perform in vicarios’ absence. He had an absolute howler against atleti, but that will just give him something to prove.

Just reinforces the point that the players do care

Played for us with a busted ankle, through dogs abuse and now a hernia. We don’t deserve this man.

Explains why Tudor tried Kinsky out in first leg against athletico Madrid

Playing with a hernia sounds completely miserable

Guessing he might need surgery or therapy otherwise it’s might lead to nerve problems

Depending upon the severity a sports hernia can be managed. I played an entire season with one in college hockey, though it did suck.

I’ve had two in high school, inguinal, which I’m guessing his is. Recovery was about 7-10 days on the couch, I was up and running again in about a month and a half. Glad he’s taking care of it over intl break

I feel like almost every player is playing through an injury of some sort, especially with the taxing nature of modern football. Essentially destroying their bodies.

Man pulls off elite saves with a hernia, and played an entire half of football with a fractured angle without conceding.
Not a goalkeeping specialist, though, right Carra?

Gives context for his diving stops in recent weeks, I guess. Both the Szoboszlai free kick but also the incredible stop on Simeone.

Man pulled of that deflected Rocket with one hand whilst falling with a hernia problem in the last match… Honestly whatever he has done in the past he has the heart for the fight

Play austin. Forest game is too big a game and after kinsky being put under pressure vs atletico I don’t think it’s a good call to start him.

It’s important as a fan base we back kinsky !

i have always been in vic’s corner, but i would rather have been wrong than him be suffering through an injury like this for weeks. hope he gets back soon.

Why do I feel like it affected his ability to save the Szoboszlai free kick. He really didn’t seem comfortable pushing off and getting to a shot he would do 99/100 times.

Wish him speedy recovery. Didn’t son play through entire season with hernia and ppl were saying he can’t perform at high level anymore ?

Once again I have to question the competence of our medical and training staff. How does a player, who is essentially still a young man, who practices and does all of the stretching etc that goalkeepers do, end up with a hernia? Not exactly a common injury.

Honestly, having gone through a similar injury, it was probably that save off the deflection on Tuesday that made him go “alright i’m good, let’s do the surgery”

I hope the supporters give him a huge ovation on Sunday.
