  1. Havertz is not fit. Gyokeres must start
Arteta didn't bring on Skelly just to give him minutes, it's because Havertz was allowing the defenders to make easy through balls which led to those chances they had at the end of the game

  2. Charles great content as always.

Unfortunately been moved to comment for the first time regarding Kepa or Raya.

There's no guarantee if Raya plays we win the cup. So it's a mute point.

  3. Kepa needs to start tbh. Otherwise you are telling your keeper, you can get us to the final, but can't play in the final, and that will break a players trust

  4. It's not simply about loyalty – fans need to ask whether they could get a better number 2 than Kepa. That's your insurance policy. And if the deal is when he signed he plays the finals if he reaches them, then you do it. Otherwise, you don't get the quality number 2 – and then you are a hostage to fortune. This is the deal – you want a top quality number 2, you have to give up something. This guy was playing last season for a team presently in the top 10.

  5. On the 5 decisions I think:
Kepa vs Raya: for me Raya starts, best team possible for the final and I don't think Kepa can be too frustrated given he's played all the cup games until now.
Fullbacks: ideally Timber + Calafiori, if Timber is out I would play Mosquera + Calafiori and bring on Hincapie to close the game out.
LW + ST + the 10: I'd like to see Eze on the left, havertz in the 10 and gyokeres up top for a nice physical attack

  6. Kepa is a number 2, it’s as simple as that however well he may have played. Harsh perhaps but Kepa used to be a number 1 and knows how this works. Sorry but no room for sentiment when we’re trying to win trophies.

  7. I find it very strange that those calling for Kepa are more interested in a player’s feelings than maximizing our chances of winning a cup final.
It’s a final. You play your best players. Simple

  8. It’s only English based people who want the prem above all. But outside of English players and manages. The champion league is the biggest win. Even Arteta has picked ucl in the past

  9. Raya needs to start if we want to win the quadruple we must be ruthless, not sentimental somehow our fans are turning soft after not winning a trophy for 5/6 years

  10. As badly as i want Arsenal to win the premier league, if i had to choose i will pick the champions league over it. That's a trophy we have never won and it is also bigger in status than the premier league

  11. I couldn't care less about lineups. The only thing that matters is to get the balance of the team right. Then the players need to be switched on and clinical.

  12. What is this disrespect on Ben White? Where is the evidence he can't handle tricksy wingers?

He unlocks Saka so much. Look at the link up play against Leverkusen. We play White to benefit Saka, not out of fear of Doku

  13. Charles, your comparison of Kepa/Raya with Norgaard or other outfield players is not even close. The goalkeeper and the sub goalies are different to outfield players. There is less wear and tear on keepers over a season meaning the number one can play the whole time. Also, Kepa is/was an international and has played in the previous games. And most importantly, it depended on what Arteta promised him before he signed. He was a great capture for the price and given how well he did for Bournemouth last year. Also, Norgaard will be on the bench most weeks and can be called on if the tactics or situation need it. He'll get game time. The sub goalie very rarely gets brought on unless the unlikely chance of an injury to the number 1.
