# The Three Lions will go into March’s international window with a 35-strong group
**Thomas Tuchel has named a 35-man squad for England’s two international games with Uruguay and Japan at Wembley Stadium connected by EE.**
The Three Lions will continue their preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the first men’s international window of the year, with matches against two other nations who will be heading to North America for the competition this summer.
And the head coach has selected a longer squad than usual, with players reporting to camp in two stages across the window.
Among the squad, there’s a first senior call-up for Everton midfielder James Garner while Brighton & Hove Albion goalkeeper Jason Steele is named with the prospect of him joining the World Cup squad as a training goalkeeper during the summer.
There are also recalls to the Three Lions squad for Manchester United pair Kobbie Mainoo and Harry Maguire, while Newcastle United’s Lewis Hall and Tino Livramento are back after missing the autumn internationals through injury and AC Milan’s Fikayo Tomori returns to bolster the defensive unit.
Leeds United striker Dominic Calvert-Lewis receives his first call-up in five years and there’s also a spot in the group for Tottenham Hotspur’s Dominic Solanke.
Speaking about his decision to pick a 35-man squad for this camp, Tuchel said: “We decided to divide it into basically two camps almost, so we bring players in that we haven’t seen who haven’t played so much to open up the picture, and the competition for plane tickets to the US.
“Then from Friday and Saturday, a group of players will come into camp – ten or eleven players who get a rest before and we will then go with a new group and mix of players into the match against Japan.”
Tickets for both the game against Uruguay on Friday 27 March (7.45pm GMT) and the match with Japan on Tuesday 31 March (7.45pm BST) are [still on sale.](https://www.wembleystadium.com/tickets/)

Gotta feel for Shaw. Been more consistent and played more consistently than both Maguire and Mainoo but no England call up. Works in our favour though

Not sure why Shaw hasn’t been called up.
He’s miles better than DJed Spence, and he’s an actual left back unlike Nico O’Reilly.

Jason Steele – International Man of Mystery. Never heard of him but he sounds the lead character in a 1970s action adventure series.

Never understand how they define forwards and midfielders these days. Foden is a forward but palmer isn’t?

We’re really still picking Jordan fucking Henderson?! What blackmail has this guy got on people at the FA?!

I can understand why Shaw isnt there with Hall being superb for Newcastle but it would have been nice to have him in the squad and have more United Players in there.
Hope he and Mount get over this and finish strongly this season.

Weird how Foden still gets called. Nice to see Garner there.
