I do t think it’s a back issue. Psychological depression etc. or at least I heard a rumour about divorce and stuff. Poor guy just needs time.
De Ligt had an extensive injury history before he signed for United. The club should really take this more seriously in recruitment.

The signs have not been good, we haven’t heard much about MDL and injuries which tells me this is something else. I just hope he gets good support and hopefully back to playing soon.

I seen a post on twitter months ago along the lines of “news being suppressed that De Ligt isn’t going to play professional football again”. This was before everyone was questioning why he’s been out for so long. At the time the guy claimed to be “in the know” which I know a lot of people do on twitter so I just put it down to trolling, but I keep thinking back to that post
Back pain is no joke. I have degenerative spinal damage and I can tell you one minute everything is rosie and then you take two steps and that pain comes to remind you just how miserable it can make your life. Hope it’s nothing major and hope he can recover.
Has anyone else heard the rumour that it’s not a back injury and rather some sort of mental health problem? Heard his Mrs was his rock and kept him fairly grounded, and when she left him he spiralled. Very limited fact checking done on this but the timelines do match up, could obviously just be online nonsense but seen it a few times now over course of months
I remember seeing the same stories with Dele Alli for years, about rumoured depression and drug abuse – and eventually he dropped a big tell all interview with Neville confirming it was all true

We have two CB’s and a LB who are extremely prone to long term injuries. I hope INEOS have plans for a CB and LB in the transfer market.
