Assuming we stay up, we should genuinely be all over Lucas Chevalier from PSG if we do sell Vicario and it’s true he wants out from them

  2. I bet this happens, curious who we replace him with. I’ve seen people want trafford but I’m not confident he’d be an upgrade

  3. Can’t wait for Inter to offer us €12m. Going to be a fun”negotiation”.

  4. Depends on who the replacement is tbh.

Despite his obvious flaws, he’s still very much an excellent reflex shot stopper. People have forgotten how much he bailed us out early this season

At some point in the future people will see highlights of crazy Vicario saves and think he must have been one of the greatest goalkeepers of all time.

Overall grateful for his time with us and helping us win the Europa League but at this point it’s best for both sides if he leaves in the summer.

Honestly? Vic was doing okay with the long balls vs Athleti. By no means was it world class distribution, but we were winning enough balls that I had to audibly note it with surprise

ÂŁ20m loan option to buy + player that will play 6 games for us before going out on loan for years and years coming our way for ÂŁ8m + option to buy. Cant wait.

  8. Yes please. Good shot stopper but shocking with the ball at his feet. There’s a reason he boots it long anytime he’s under a bit of pressure

  9. I like vicario. He’s mental and flaps and causes panic. But I like him. Hope he does well at inter. We should go German for our next keeper. They make the best keepers.

He’s actually pretty similar to Lloris in his last 3 years.
Awesome shot stopper, too prone to getting flustered.

    Who do we want in?

  11. I’ll pay for the useless cunts airfare and personally drive him to the airport, good riddance!!

The incongruity between Vic being “not good enough” for us as relegation candidates, while simultaneously being a top target for Serie A leaders Inter Milan, is utterly bizarre.

When he leaves and heads back to Itay, a lot of people are going to be desperate for him to flop, just so they can say they were right.

  13. What are good options to replace him, I’m only see 2nd keepers open to leaving.

What’s hilarious is that I remember at the time we were also really keen on Raya, but we went with the “cheaper” route in Vicario.

At the time, when he was making his worldly saves (to his credit, he’s always had this skill set), I thought we made the right decision, but unfortunately, he just never really improved much else beyond that single great ability.

Alas, we could still do a lot worse. He’s a very decent keeper and we still won a Europa with him.

But in hindsight, Raya was the one we should’ve pursued.

Always looking for the cheaper options. Been our story for awhile now.

  15. I fancy Robin Roefs. Been great this season. He is out with a hamstring so would fit right in.

  16. Am I the only one who finds it odd, that everyone seems to think Vicario isn’t good enough for us, but he’s still wanted by the team that’s top of the table at Serie A?

  17. Not a bad keeper but upgradable. Crazy reflexes, although I do think his positioning forces him to make harder saves at times. Also his passing is hard to watch.

Should only sell for a very good price. Otherwise I would stick with him. The grass isn’t always greener.
