Whenever the name of Bayern Munich is mentioned, my mind instantly goes back to that iconic image of Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo. I believe those were nights when the world doubted us, when we were labeled the underdogs, yet time and again we rose above expectations and reminded everyone exactly who we are.
Looking back, it’s impossible not to feel that we were spoiled. The 2017 squad was a perfect blend of experience, mentality, and individual brilliance. With leaders like Sergio Ramos, Luka Modrić, and Toni Kroos, alongside the unstoppable force of Ronaldo and the intelligence of Benzema, that team had a ruthless winning DNA. They thrived under pressure, controlled big games with authority, and had a level of composure that made even the toughest matches feel inevitable.
The current squad, however, is different. It’s younger, more dynamic, and still evolving. It’s built on talented individuals like Kylian Mbappé, Vinícius Júnior, Jude Bellingham, and Rodrygo. They may not yet have the same aura or experience as the 2017 team, but they bring unpredictability and a new kind of excitement.
Honestly, while the past was golden, I still have faith in this current squad. Greatness doesn’t disappear but it evolves. And if history has taught us anything, it’s that Real Madrid always finds a way. What this team needs now is belief, patience, and our full support.

Imagine having balls of steel to post this on a UCL night before a knockout phase, quarter-final, more specifically. They were a different breed. That confidence is hard to match.

I remember this vividly, we weren’t favorites to win because Bayern were a threat (still are) and at their prime. It took A LOT of confidence to go & bet them.
