Balde at 13th position? God he has been awful this entire season man. Every year I’ve hopes on him delivering a great season but he let me down every single year.

These speeds are crazy. When you’re watching on the TV it’s hard to notice how fast top professional players are. I remember seeing an Argentina friendly while sitting by the touchline and Di Maria ran past my seat. He was insanely fast. It’s honestly baffling, but they train their whole lives to reach that speed.
What matters the most is how much you can sustain that sprint. I’ve seen Ralphina do 40-50 meters sprints like a boss.
– People have to remember , this is top speed but without the ball
– Messi was never the fastest , Jeremy Mathieu who smokes was fastest player during the 2014/15
– Fastest with the ball is a different story because it takes technical ability , short and long ball conduction , and how much space you have
– Example , Mbappe is one of the fastest players without the ball but his technical ability to run with the ball can be a bit loose , so he kicks the ball further and runs towards it. Mbappe over time rely more on his first touch than on his speed , making him such a deadly threat at the 3/4 and does not need to over rely on his speed
– People are gonna point out at Balde being bad because his speed and burst is what “makes him stand out” but something people are not considering is that opposition have study Balde and they just double man mark so there is no space for him to run. Which leads to Balde’s second problem , his lack of technical ability and vision to pass the ball or dribble pass opponents.
– HOWEVER something to point out here , Balde top speed should be more because when you track back , you have to go full intensity , not jogging back

These are all pretty slow, these stats are always dominated by who has had to make a recovery run or something alike. Players almost never reach top speed in game
A fully fit in form christensen would be a blessing when that high line fails
