I was watching the game , i didnt see him go into the hoardings , when I looked up i saw him on the floor and assumed he had a normal leg injury, I didnt know it was his thumb.
Another galatasary player had to go off at half time with a suspected fractured forearm , somehow a knee from a Liverpool player hit his arm , a couple of odd injuries in the same game
Hockey player would have been back on the ice next period.
They are dogging him in the locker room after. We all know this.
Just tape it up and send him back in. He’s a soccer player. He shouldn’t be using his hands
I was able to see a pretty clear picture on a news site. I zoomed in. It looks to me like a de-gloving injury. With the step off it makes sense that the tip was ripped off his thumb almost entirely and kind of flapped back there
First thought: of course a soccer/fütbol player got stretchered off for a little ouchie to his hand
Second thought after starting the video: oh shit, yeah ok, that makes sense now

Hey a soccer injury video (kind of). I would love for you to check out the mechanism of injury that Pedro De La Vega had. It was a very weird one where it almost seemed like it wasn't direct contact but he broke his knee cap in a game. Very strange. I have no idea how it happened and would love an explanation.

Those adboards are fucking stupid. Its not actually the worst football finger injury that's happened in a game. There was a player in italy who climbed a fence after scoring a goal to celebrate with the crowd. His ring finger got stuck in the fence and he jumped down losing his finger.
Can't remember his name or the exact details but there was a player in I want to say Italy or Greece who jumped and onto and climbed the barrier fence thing to celebrate with fans but as he came down his wedding finger got caught on the top of the fence and where the ring was it peeled the skin on the finger off like a glove

Climbing buddy of mine got his thumb caught in a loop of rope during my a fall and sheared it clean off. All it takes is a little bit of force at the right angle for things to get nasty for the fingers. Hopefully they can keep the digit intact.
