This has been the reality since last year, but he stayed for the “Grand Frank Masterplan”. Knowing us, I don’t think he will be making the same mistake again.

i’ll miss him when he’s gone, but he clearly wants to be gone

I asked myself what would son say as captain , and it’s probably the same

  4. If he and van de Ven want to leave, sell them in the summer if good offers come. Dragusin will probably be sold back to the Serie A too.

We can move forward with Danso and Vuskovic. Use the funds to buy some other CBs and fortify some other positions too. It will be good business in the end.

A good player on his day, our best passer rn, but questionable as a captain, not reliable at all in terms of availability, he’ll be 28 this summer, since he wants to leave anyways, it’ll be the perfect time to part ways and get value out of it.

It would be a win win for both parties. The club can get some value in a transfer fee. He’s done all he can with us. Time to move on

  7. No captain would say fuck this team I’m out.

No player would say I promise to stay forever, since that ruins his negotiation power for renewal.

This is the equivalent of him saying the sky is blue.

  8. He’s 28 and injury-prone. This summer is the perfect time to sell him if he wants to move on. This club is terrible at selling players when they still have value and need to be far better at maximizing the assets they have.

Hasn’t he done this before? But also once Poch comes back he won’t leave

  10. Completely reasonable answer. Lets be honest. No one has any idea what is going to happen if Spurs get relegated.

  11. Yeah this is bullshit twisting of the words in a Spanish interview.

Cuti post partido. Le preguntaron si tiene interes en irse al AtlĂ©tico de Madrid: ” Estoy concentrado en la situaciĂłn que estamos viviendo. La verdad que respeto mucho este club.Quiero terminar de la mejor manera posible la temporada…”

Cuti post match. He was asked if he was interested in joining AtlĂ©tico de Madrid: “I’m focused on the current situation. I truly respect this club. I want to finish the season in the best way possible…”

  12. Honestly given the way he acts even with the armband, I am happy to cut the losses and see him go.

van de Ven will be sold, not Romero.

His contract situation is far weaker than Romero’s and for some reason people think he’s better than him so there’s interest.

If the money is out there I can 100% see Real, Barca, PSG, Bayern etc all wanting either one of them.

  14. I’m genuinely not bothered if Mickey and Romero want to leave. Lovely players, but if the last two seasons have shown me anythinyg it is we need players who will be available to play 34+ PL games.

It’ll just be a PL campaign next year, very few games to share about, so we’ll need to cut the squad and prioritise availability

  15. He almost ruined it for us (again) with his hot headedness, very lucky not to get a second yellow. He’s too much of a liability, despite the talent he has and so maybe it’s best to part ways this Summer.

  16. So we’re just starting to play with a bit of fight, looking like we’re trying and for the first time in quite some time there’s a little bit of positivity.

And then they start with these questions? Almost like they’re trying to bring the mood down.

I’ll say the same thing I said last summer; he’s a great player, he’s not available nearly enough, for a decent fee we should absolutely sell.
