cubarsi has always been class, and eric has proved us he can play as cb whenever he's asked to and take a good game out of it.
and now martin. he’s played 1,300+ minutes and 20+ matches this season. and he is only dribbled past 8 times this whole season you guys understand that? that's like what prime pique was under pep lol. hes averaging 90% passing average and has 350+ progressive passes. he has grown confident in 1v1s. he has helped us equally in building games and attacking wise. he's decision making ability has improved alot too this season. that header to bernal on the spot is it prime example.
and ik this team majorly has alot of defensive flaws and but i dont really doubt on my cbs for that. what i believe is we are getting bullied because this season kounde and balde are nearly washed and they aren't really getting help from the fullbacks inigo and cubarsi were getting in 24/25 season.
what i believe based on current scenario is we should just sell araujo atp and buy a striker or a rotational lb for balde.

Striker should be priority over cb
We definitely need a LCB but striker should be a priority as a 37 year old Lewy has the same amount of goals as Ferran Torres. What’s funny is Flick gave him so many chances that he’s not put him on the bench cause he’s tired of his shit
If Gerard keeps playing at this level obviously not. If season was over rn i would absolutely prioritize getting a new striker. Lewa makes 25m. Even half of that is too much for a backup striker and he cant legally drop lower than that. I would love to get an Osimhen type killer tho if by some miracle the rumors that Bastoni is available for 50m are true drop everything else and go for it no questions asked. But as things stand we will see in the next few months what we are really missing more, Its likely both Lewas and Ferrans form will improve and some point and people might forget about this problem. I remember no one had any problems with Ferran in 1st half of the season cause he was scoring a goal per game
We need a veteran at the back, a leader and most importantly height and physicality . Although he’s relatively young 26, bastoni has been a regular starter for inter since he was 20. Will gel instantly with how we play and has been at the top of this sport for the past couple years.

Yeah, we do. We don’t need to be reactionary. We need atleast two CB, one backup and one starting LCB. The minutes Cubarsi has been accumulating is crazy. Araujo and Christensen are lost cause. We also need a back-up fullback, a striker and a proper LW (not Rashford)

We will always concede goals whether we have a world class cb or not our main priority would be signing a striker, flicks system has always been about out scoring the opposition with the absurd amount of chances our strikers have missed we desperately NEED one.
Depends. Our strikers aren’t in great form that’s why sometimes it feels like we are not scoring as much goals as we are making chances. Which in turn most of the time causes counter attack and our defence is not paxy enough to recover. If we get somebody like Harry Kane who will convert those scrappy bu open chances, there will be less counters, in turn less threats. If we fail to sign a ST, pacy or ball playing CBs should be our main priority
We need a striker more than anything else. Look at how many games we could’ve won that we lost because our strikers couldn’t finish the chances. This team way if play is more about scoring a lot of goals over not conceding. We shouldn’t be losing games With the amount of chances we create. In the other hand if we get CBs we will be fucked anyways because we cant score, we will concede with the way we play no matter who’s in the back.

Any CB we get is coming to play in this suicidal high line system. Our defensers have to run a lot to actually defend and it sucks energy out of them. We need to find more opportunities like the Cancelo deal for a CB. The money should go towards a long term replacement for Lewa.
We Need a Star Striker(Julián) and a Solid Rotation Opción as Left Centre Back(If Maldini Catches a Cold We Don’t Have Another Left Footed Defender) Senesi is a Good Free Option.
Eric is not a good centre back (average maybe), he’s a decent DM option but I’m not convinced of any other position other than emergency options. if Cubarsi gets injured, Eric ain’t gonna replace him, there’s a big gap in terms of quality. As for Martin while he’s a decent option for a centre back, he’s playing rotation roles for two positions which is not ideal. A big centre back signing is needed along with a striker.
Senesi and guirassy type of a guy
I think we take for granted that half of this Barca team is la masia teenagers/youngesters, somewhat inexperienced and that we don’t have the financial muscle the other top teams, or even lower level teams have nowadays. I think we are doing really good with what we have. Give Barca some money and I am sure we will be favourites to win the championship league
Striker should be priority but the market for it currently is bleak. The only great options are expensive ones like Alvarez or osimhen who we don’t even know if their clubs would be willing to sell them.
and otherwise you’d have to go for guirassy who’s not been having a great season or vlahovic on a free who’s even worse.
I would much rather have us get a great cb since we’d have a quite few options (bastoni, Vuskovic, schlotterbeck, vdv even though I don’t like him much and even senesi as a free signing) and then see if any one of atletico or gala would be willing to sell. And IF we reach 1/1 whilst selling a player or 2 we should be able to get our targets in both of those positions.
If the Bastoni rumers are true, he is too good to pass up on. But a striker is imperative going forward. I feel like a lot of people forget that it isn’t the personal that are bad, but rather the system itself self. Our highline requires the entire team to press, essentially making it so our forwards and midfielders are a part of the defense. But earlier in the season – during our slump – our press was ass. Regardless of who we have in our defense – prime Madini – they’ll look exposed to an extent. Our biggest strengths is our offense, and with lewa not having the legs anymore and Ferran being a sardine, it’s needed badly. Personally in an ideal world, id get Senesei from Bournmouth as a solid partner and mentor for Cuba and Martin, and Oshiman if possible
Sure… because scoring 4 goals in the second half is definitely a sign that scoring goals is where we are lacking most.
Nevermind the fact that we got scored on literally right after scoring not once but twice at home yesterday in the first half, surely that kind of lax defending won’t impact us long term. It’s certainly not something we should aim to improve on when we get the chance.
I’m sure splurging another 60M-100M+ or whatever on an attacker will solve all of our issues, like it’s happened every time we’ve done it during these past ten years

We need a cb and a striker both tbh. Gerard has been phenomenal , the pre assist to fermin’s goal. And the assist to bernal. Man what a turnaround. Defensively he’s been massive. The only player we need to maybe replace is Araujo. Everytime he’s got the ball , its just scary. Balde , Kounde , Xavi espart as full backs are enough. A finisher is what we need the most. Lewa was massive but he’s not reliable anymore , better than ferran but still.
Deco wants to dump alll the $ on Bastoni. When we have lewy the goat but unfortunately is leaving this season and ferran just isn’t doing enough….again. Bring Osihmen

How can any barca fans say we don’t need a CB? We need a top class CB. We leak goals left, right, and center. We need a proven CB that can play alongside cubarsi. Sorry to break it to you. As good as Cubarsi is, he is not a world class at his positon. He is just 18. His trajectory is good, but he needs a proven CB.

Not a barca fan but I’ve been watching barca because of Raphinha (I’m brazilian), my opinion is that Flick needs to get his shit together and actually have a B and C plan for defense, can’t play with a high line for 90 minutes against strong opposition.
I also don’t understand the patience fans have with Araújo, he’s been bang average since last season and is always shaky in important matches, I’ve heard he was great in the past but you can’t keep a player who always fucks up out of respect for his good services in a distant past, life is made od cicles, his is done a long time ago.
I’d recommend Van Der Ven, or Ibañez as a cheaper option for the defense, and both are able to play as a defensive fullback.
As for the number 9, given the financial situation with barca, I’d recommend Igor Jesus from Nottingham Forest, he was class in Botafogo and would be much cheaper than the likes of Alvarez or Oshimen, and he is a very mobile striker who exploits the spaces and pulls his markers to create more spaces for his teammates, he’s also technically gifted, can hold the ball well and make good passes.
We still need a CB cos Araujo and Christensen can’t be trusted whether it’s form or fitness issues. That said we still do need a striker
Performance of number 9 is essential after seeing last match . What a game by RL9 crazy holdup play,i wish he was little younger. We need someone like him . RL9 was menace for CB
We need both a CB and striker. What we absolutely do not need is Rashford for 30m. Just use that money to get a cheap decent CB, a proper number 9 for the next 5 years and we are set.
Invest in a world class striker. If there is money left over then invest in a world class lcb or a young CB that can be molded to be world class.
We are the team with the second most goals this season in Europe (only Bayern have scored more). Our problem is not that we can’t score goals, our problem is that we concede too many.
i believe we need a good physical presence at the back man. These guys might be good technically but don’t really provide that particular thing. Only Araujo brings in that physicality but only if he wasn’t doing the things he does.

I’ll give you straight forward and reality check. Most of the best Strikers that could work in hansi flicks system have already been grabbed up by English clubs. The best option was Julian Alvarez, Atletico Madrid isn’t willing to transfer him to Barca, another good option who could fit the system was Aleksander isak and Hugo ekitike but I don’t think Liverpool will ever sell them for less money, same goes for woltemade from Newcastle. One of my favourite CF option was Benjamin sesko he got fooled by Manchester United. Barca’s best bet was transfering Jonathan David from ligue 1 last summer. He went to Juventus.
Hansi flick needs versatile forward , who can play deep ,who’s fast and who can meet the intensity of the tactics. Who can aggressively press the opponents, who’s good at Linkin up with the midfield. He should be able to play as no.9 + no.10. the perfect player was Julian Alvarez. That option isnt realistic anymore.
We can still sign senesi on free, you’ll need backups, we haven’t signed anybody for inigo, instead moved martin to lcb and what happens when he’s injured? Araujo and christensen haven’t been tht good to be dependent on them
