      IMO the long term strategy should 100% based around getting him the ball around the edge of the box and having runners off him.

      Also showcasing how much we hold him and others back with our shite build up play and tactics.

      They were allowed to play without the brakes on today and wouldn’t you know it, some of the best technical players in the sport can play some great fucking football when they’re allowed to.

      Fuck this absolutely shite passive football we’ve endured all year. Just take the brakes off and let the players we spent hundreds of millions on play to their strengths.

      Don’t let the game thread see this, they need to complain about every non-perfect thing he does. I wonder what the venn diagram of Wirtz haters this year and Szobo haters last year looks like, because Wirtz is definitely getting that same treatment.

      I enjoyed the link up play between him, Mo, Hugo and Szobo. I think this is the strongest element about his game which it reminds me of bobby

      He was unleashing shots and playing every through ball. Great in tight spaces as well

      I know he’s great on the ball and everything, but is anyone else noticing how great he is off the ball? I really didn’t know he had that in his game when he came here. Maybe he didn’t and it’s something they’ve been working on with him. Either way, love to see it. He’s deceptively quick.

      8 passes that result in an xg of 1.08 is nothing amazing. ekitite got 0.76xg off of 3 key passes. salah got 0.46 off of 2. dom got 0.3xg off of 2.

      a key pass literally means a pass that leads to a shot on target. not the quality of pass. for 120m he should be doing that every game, not be so rare that it gets highlighted as something extraordinary.

      8 key passes but only 1 big chance created is woeful.

      Hello. I would like to file a police report. I flew to Anfield from the USA to watch my first home game against Spurs. Clearly I was in a bizarro Liverpool with a fake team not this LFC. I’ve been robbed.

      He was on the left but in a floating role, maybe I’m wrong but feel like most the good stuff he did came through the middle and right side with Mo.
