Im going bold!! Play a 3 back with Gvardiol on the left and Khusanov on the right with Guehi in the middle

Next season we neeeedd new ideas man ,im just spitballing here

  3. I was hell bent on gvar air nori Nunes and Dias being the starters but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s gvar knush then ait and Nunes

  4. Rotation between gvardiol, guehi and khusanov
I would sell dias he is mentally and pace wise not on the level anymore

The issue is the playstyle, which doenst allow players to express themselves to what they fully could do. Not enough sharp movement off the ball, dribbling, passing, shooting and interchange, Give and gos, runners in the box. The defense is fine, literally everybody on the team has looked poor when the have to follow guardiolas slow, boring tactics and have looked great/ way more alert and into the game when they play more direct.

  6. Pshhh, any combination is elite, surely you don’t expect a single duo to start every single game?

For me Guehi and Gvardiol is PEAK, Dias and Gvardiol still slaps, Khusanov with any of those is also perfect.

The real question would be: what about the other guys? Ake Stones Reis when he comes back, that’d be a lot of competition for one spot

Guehi and Khusanov is, atm, by far our best partnership.

I think we need to remember that whilst Gvardiol has been very strong going forward this season, and has had patches of brilliance all round, he has dropped some absolute stinkers defensively. He just hasn’t been as strong as he was last season.

This isn’t a cut and dry answer, Guehi is a good player but doesn’t have the pace to keep up with wingers and counterattack, but he is great at countering headers and playing the ball with his feet. Khusanov is our best man Marking defender, and has the pace to keep up with players like vini, mbappe, and other wingers. Dias has been having a rough season but he is still our best CB.

How spoilt we are to have Dias Gvardiol Khus and Guehi all competing for a starting spot

Guehi and gvardiol ,and i hope pavard is bought with the money from ake and akanji

As long as Khusanov is starting, I don’t care who else is out there lol.

He has been great to watch. Loves his timing, aggressiveness and UNDERRATED SPEED!

  12. Doesnt matter. We keep conceding 1-2 goals every game regardless of who starts. And we cant score.

Also Gvardiol is not our savior. Especially after a long injury. Dont pin your hopes on him.

  13. Khusanovs arguably our best cb at the moment, hard to see guehi not playing with the investment we’ve put into him. Potentially gvardiol back to left back more regularly? Going to be a tricky one for pronto get the cb balance right

Makes you wonder if Dias is perhaps going to struggle for game time

Nunes, Khusanov, Guehi, and then Gvardiol as LB. Switches to 3 back on the attack, Gvardiol has freedom to move up ala Stones and crash the box or shoot from the edge of the box. Nunes attacks wide, puts in crosses.

With the amount of games we play we have the options to pick and choose who suits our need for a particular game. We historically have not always had a “set” CB pair over the last 10 years. I would say, Gvardiol for me has to be the main name on most sheets. He’s passing and line breaking is desperately required for how we play and imo an under rated reason why we have struggled since his injury.

  16. It’s a tough decision honestly but I think we should start relying on Ruben less and lean more into AK45, this dude is a massive talent

Guehi is also a great leader and he would pair up great with the more reserved Khusa

Goatdiol will always be class no matter what

  17. What happened to Dias? I’ve never loved a player more than when he joined in 2020. Threw himself in the way of everything and looked like a world class player. It’s not like he’s old, he’s still only 28
