This just isn’t acceptable at all.
If you are going to run little, you have to make up for it in talent – and Rashford isn’t doing that.
Infact, have a look at the pressing stats of Lamine Yamal for comparison.
Sorry, but anyone who thinks we should spend €30M on Rashford & €250k a week salary is out of their minds.

Like I’ve said, he’s too niche for that price. We can’t pay that kind of money for a deadball specialist, who’s inconsistent at finishing but can score bangers in rare occasions.
We’re gonna need a striker with crazy workrate and energy to offset him, and it’s still less effective too due to the starting point of a striker position.

Who is the #1 world winger in pressing? My guess is raphinha , but maybe this season he is not. Some psg player could be.
I feel like people are giving him far too much credit honestly. I do agree about the fee being low, however many of his goals or assists were quite lucky if im being honest. And even in games where he did score or assist, his overall control or contribution to the game was absolutely atrocious. For the system Flick plays, this is just completely unacceptable levels of pressing, and lets not forget Rashford is currently one of the highest earners in the team. I think thats a complete joke honestly. If we want to take that step to the next level with the system Flick plays, I dont want Rashford to be part of that, the difference between him and Raphinha when in the team is wild and again with the wages Rashford is on I feel we could get way better comfortably. I mean asking a player to run should be the absolute least of expectations, he didnt run at Utd, he hasnt ran at Barcelona so at 28 years of age, he certainly wont run in the future.

But when I say we shouldn’t sign a left winger and I am not impressed with Rashford then people make fun of me .
They always bring his goal contributions in the argument but those who watch the matches know the reality behind those goals contributions .
His only game where he became a difference maker was the Newcastle match in the league phase of UCL . Even in that game he wasn’t playing good until he scored those 2 goals .
This might become the principal reason to not continue with the player or at a minimum explain why he has played so little in past few weeks

To be fair to him hes also holding depth a lot for us. But don’t think he earned the move yet. He has been very lacklustre recently.
This is the contract year, he’s going to absolutely phone it in once he gets the extension…same problem he was criticized for in United, he’s just lethargic most of the time
