Xavi Espart’s LaLiga debut was staggering. The Lahm comparisons make total sense , he didn’t just hug the touchline; his tactical IQ to invert and dictate tempo was insane for a debutant. He looked completely unfazed. Was winning aerial duels aswell . Really have high hopes for him

Looking sharp, some heavy touches and he is quite fast.

We can develop him as a good backup 🍻

Very impressive full debut. Wasn’t scared of the moment and even though it was just one single game, I completely get the Lahm comparison that Flick made (I swear I’m not overrreacting, just saying that I get it)

Teammates gotta stop approaching him asking for the ball at their feet after he defeated his man and has the space to drive, they’re just bringing more defenders into his space. He can handle it when he chooses to take them on, they should trust him, but an extra defender ruins his plans.

If they play enough with each other, they’re gonna learn what this kid can do.

  4. Still young, a lot to learn. First conceived goal was due to him caught in no man’s land. He was ball watching instead of marking the opponent.

Definitely exciting but we do need La Masia to diversify a bit from the physically a pushover types if we need to fully depend on it.

It really looks like he has all the positional intelligence that Fort lacks. Really good at occupying the right spaces at the right times instead of just insisting on bombing vertical overlaps again and again. Obviously still extremely unpolished, but I think he has a genuine chance of establishing himself in the first team over time.

It’s crazy to think that there are already proffesionals who can’t remember the day Spain won the World Cup

  8. he has great defensive and tackling skills. can only improve. let’s see offensively when he plays more minutes with Lamine, whose he played with since they were kids
