  1. Go 4-3-3 and have Cherki-Haaland-Doku play like we had before in December. Why he doesn’t want this? And what about Nico G…

Procedes to play Semenyo, Haaland, Savio and Doku and also playing Bernado Silva so high against Madrid with basically a 1 man midfield.

  3. Because those three do not track or press well enough. We can get away with 2 of them and having Silva, Foden, etc be the main chaser but not all three.

Then if you have Doku, Halland, Somenyo and Cherki playing as an AM there really is no defense

  4. I do agree, we were winning but we were incredibly unbalanced, Doku and Cherki bombing forward leaving Nico G left to dry, we were too creative for stability and I didn’t mind it, but Pep always prioritized stability over anything else.

Now, we lack connection and creativity with the latest lineups, but we don’t lack stability, and that’s all that Pep sees.

And in my eyes, we still need a player like Anderson to balance things out perfectly, our midfield is either too safe or too risky completely based on the third man (a midfield with Cherki is too risky regardless of who the other two are, and a midfield with Bernardo is too safe regardless of who the other two are, Anderson makes it that the midfield has stability and balance between creativity and safety regardless)

  5. these are just excuses for his aversion to lack of control, yeah we suffered in periods of games in part because our build up can be stifled by a decent press but it was paying off greatly on the counter & just moments of quick play

  6. Everything we try right now feels unbalanced though. Half the team wants to play on the break and half the team doesn’t, and the real crux of it all is the guys who do are very bad out of possession.

  7. Not enough back passes for Pep with that lineup I guess.

Yesterday we looked more threatening after subbing in Cherki and Doku and didn’t look weaker on defense. Pep knows better than I, but, the result against RM and West Ham speak for itself. Need to find the right balance for sure but this certainly is not it and I can’t imagine a balanced lineup that doesn’t include our most creative player, which is Cherki. Balance means good defense but also able to create goals and for that we need someone like Cherki.

We’ve dropped points in a single game when Cherki and Doku have started.

And it was right after they helped us put in two of our best performances in a couple of years against Bournemouth and Liverpool.

    Not having it.

He prefers to lose playing his style than to win playing another style; in fact, that team was unbalanced, but he only needed to take Bernardo out (put NOR or Rodri in) and put Khusa in Ruben’s place.

Can we just admit it !
That pep destroys talent, we will be at peace with ourselves with that information

We’re not good enough this season to have the 3 in mid. We simply don’t have the pace.
It’s the single biggest reason (whoever we put there) that teams are running through us each week constantly putting our nervous defense under pressure.

Cmon Pep it’s not rocket science 😫

At this pont he’s just making things up to keep his favorites on the starting lineup.

The best City we saw this season was with that front three, bernardo nico G and Foden in midfield lol.

Not sure what he’s on but whatever, this season is lost anyway. Hopefully we can at least win the Carabao lol.

Cherki, Foden two twin cams with Nico dm midfield, Doku, Haaland Semenyo front 3, Ait Nouri, Geuhi, Khusanov, Nunes defense. Move the damn ball quicker and don’t play such a high line. Let this young team grow together
