  1. Was it just his attitude?

He seemed amazing in Germany and the wheels just came off

The man was given half a year off by Ten Hag and just decided to give up on football.

How was his return to Dortmund? Or his stint at Chelsea? Villa? You can blame some of it on Manchester United, we’re a badly run club where very few players have thrived in the past 15 years. What’s his excuse for being garbage outside that environment?

I have absolutely no issue with his attitude in his time at villa, infact my main criticism would be that hes not been greedy enough and hes not taking on defenders enough.

Defensive work rate has been okay. Hes got himself fit without a preseason and hes been available for most games this season.

But hes had chances to shoot which hes turned down often turning a good chance into a backwards pass. Hes had chances to commit defenders but hes gone backwards and sideways.

If hed come to villa on 60k a week, I’d say hes been a success. Unfortunately hes the highest paid player apart from emi martinez, and hes been worth no where near that

But my criticisms are more due to a lack of confidence than a bad attitude

  5. Hes just a very average player whos massively overpaid. He needs to face reality and take a step down in competition and wages, but hes very unlikely to do so.

Apart from his time in Germany it seems to me he’s always never quite done it. He was a disappointment at Chelsea too but then again the owners didn’t learn from this and signed Garnacho to replace him. He’s never stunk the place out but definitely never justified his salary.

The article should be ” How ManUtd’s dream Sancho move became a nightmare!”
