Trev and Fofana don’t have a defensive brain between them. Fofana is too deep, Trev is doing god knows what. Essentially throwing out the red carpet for the pass.

Looking at video of it Chalobah appears to have been told to man mark Woltemade. Why?
It’s a complete shambles.
You literally could drive about two busses side by side between our central defenders.
It’s completely inexcusable. It’s completely inexcusable if 15/16 year olds did it.

Really comes down to none of our CB except colwill can command the backline. 🤷♂️
We will never win anything ever again with these SDs. With maresca gone it’s even worse. People will clown on me but maresca tactic while not being that good for low block which is the bulk of the league games, it is really effective for knockout games. Now we have Liam while his tactic allows more attacking against low block which is good for league games but when it comes to knockout games or open play games where both teams wanted to win we will always come short because our GK and CBs pairing aren’t good enough for it.
Unfortunately I just don’t see our SDs bending over and proving maresca was right. We will just sign the next 18 years old in next transfer window.

75% of the goals we concede feel like the greatest circus act around. Its so rarely a well worked goal where you can only respect the opposition. There’s always some cataclysmic error that you could hardly imagine. At no point did I think it was possible for our defense to be this terribly set. But at this point I should expect it. Its not like it was off a careless turnover either. Straight up unintelligent play

Fofana casually jogged back so that Gordon could score the goal. That’s 80£ m worth of the defensive brain he has.
Colwill is the only intelligent center back we have, without him this is the result. Man, I miss him so much.
