Rosenior: “From my time with the group, we’re third in the league. Sometimes it feels like that’s not the case. The last league game we played, we won 4-1 at Aston Villa.

Rosenior was just riding the new manager bounce with Maresca’s tactics and a few LinkedIn motivational speeches. Once his tactics were fully implemented, the team went into freefall.

  2. Stop this nonsense

Draws against Leeds and Burney. Lose today.

This is not the kind of results 3rd in the league get. CONSISTENTLY. We’re consistently bang average or bad against teams that play bad/from the back, defend the entire time and scam a goal or two.

He’s feeling the heat already. Feels like Rosenior might’ve lost the dressing room after that PSG debacle. The team’s confidence looks completely shot.

  4. -Rosenior says Chelsea missed Neto

-“ We knew there would be a hearing. It cost us Pedro on the pitch today who could have made a huge difference”

    – “ If Paul had focused more on his job, which is to make the right decision, we have a penalty today. Let’s focus on the things that are important”

    – Rosenior on Gordon goal : “There’s a tactical issue. We press in a different way to most teams, it’s a new way of pressing. Mistakes happen. They had nothing but we gave them a goal. It feels like every mistake we’re making is ending up in the back of the net”

    – “Jamie was due back on the bench but he felt his hamstring late after training yesterday.”

    – “My players made a decision that they wanted to huddle around the ball to show unity, it’s not my decision”.

    – “[#Chelsea] were playing man-for-man so we knew we could get behind them, but it did seem very open…”

    – Josh Acheampong, it’s just a decision I made today. He’s not out of my plans at all.”

“Your time with the group” also featured 2 dreadful league games right before Aston Villa, us being eliminated from the League Cup, almost comically losing out to Wrexham in the FA cup and getting battered 5-2 in the CL while you decided to play a GK that doesn’t even make your game day squad today, Liam. So maybe stop waffling.

If the board told him the objective was CL football, he is gone in the summer because we’re finishing 6th-8th judging by recent performances and upcoming fixtures.

I feel like any real test we’ve had, we’ve crumbled.. villa was the only impressive result but they’ve been slipping for a while now I don’t think anyone was surprised we beat them

  8. Would be curious to see the full quote because this seems like it was taken out of context. If it wasn’t then I’m not sure what kind of diversion tactics he’s playing at. Anyone could’ve taken a look at the schedule and seen that first run of matches were incredibly kind and the real tests this season were yet to come, starting March 1st. Why does he even know that stat?

He’s not wrong but the fact that he’s calculating it jeez. Truly LinkedIn Liam Rosemary.

But also if man city win their game in hand it’s fourth place. Also it doesn’t consider that the teams we played against in this period are: Newcastle, Aston villa, burnley, Leeds, Brentford, palace, west ham, wolves, arsenal. 6/9 teams are bottom 10. (Newcastle was bottom 10 before win today)

Am I dense? Can someone explain what he means by “we’re third in the league”? This guy must be a member of this sub coming out with his own table to satisfy his narrative

All of this Maresca vs. Rosenior talk is useless and misguided.

The issue is and always has been the SDs and management who built this team with gaping holes and flaws.

We will NEVER win anything under any manager with this back line and defense. Simply won’t happen.

We will NEVER win anything under any manager with players of sub-Chelsea quality like Delap, Gittens, Garnacho, Badi, Tosin, Chalobah, Jorgensen, Gusto, Guiu, and probably others I forgot.

The club is rotting from the top down like we have seen at Man Utd, Spurs now, and Arsenal for many years. It sucks but we are no longer the Chelsea of old and the sooner we accept that the easier results like today and last week will be to swallow

Liam is not good enough for cfc

But he is 100% better than Enzo

But this is all on BlueCo

    Shame

  13. Adventurous_Guest152 on

He said himself last week if they didn’t follow up on that with more results it didn’t matter………

  14. hrisharalampiev on

Liam is not good enough but this team isn’t either. Not just the CB’s, they are all mid and none are world class. Maybe on a good day James is there at best. Palmer fell off a cliff.. We deserve 10th

He hasn’t had a full off season so I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt

But busting out whataboutisms this early isn’t a great sign.

How hard is it to be like yea we played flat. The conceded goal is unacceptable. We need to be more clinical with our chances and find ways to fight through the block. We always
strive to do our best for the fans, but today we fell short of that standard

  16. The team lacks experience and quality + depth n key positions. Rosenoir is prepared to be a head coach in the committee system in place.

He’s not the problem. The structure is.

  17. Why is it that like Maresca, Rosenior refuses to take discipline seriously? Too scared to fine players, for fuck’s sake!

wilting at the first sign of any pressure… hope he can turn it around but this suggests he ain’t making it to Christmas
