There’s so much bullshit in the modern game the vast majority of which could be resolved by simple instruction. This is one of them. Want to do a huddle? Fine. Anywhere you like in your own half outside the centre circle. Done.

Tierney will no doubt get praise for standing his ground but he should be criticised for not telling them to fuck off out of it. Instead, he looked complicit. Then again, looking at his performance, you’d be hard pressed to say he wasn’t.

Never a pen. Looks like the Chelsea cracks are starting to show early for the PE teacher

he literally said they gathered around the middle to ‘respect the ball’

however much hate he gets is not enough

  4. How on earth is Palmer stepping on Woltemade’s foot a penalty?

Also got to love Howe’s response about the huddle: “I don’t pay attention to things like that”

  5. What person with functioning eyes and a brain can look at that penalty appeal (Palmer and Big Nick) and think it should be given

  6. The mistake Paul Tierney made during the huddle was not booking them all. The ref is meant to be in the centre circle before kickoff ready to start the game and no player should be in the opposition half at that time.

Why can’t the players just huddle around a few feet away from the ref if he isn’t moving? Or is that too much common sense I’m expressing?

  8. Didn’t have an opinion on this chap, hadn’t paid much attention to them since he go the job.
Well, he certainly comes across as a right bellend here.
Sounds like the protocol is the ref stands at the center spot? Ok, so fuck off your huddle elsewhere.
Not sure what the piece of paper he sent on late said? Please score a goal?
I say good luck to him or the next cunt who is “handpicked” to be the Chelsea “manager”.
£1bn spent and they are bang average.
Hope they have some more hotels to sell.
    Fuck off.

The more obvious penalty was James’ off the ball rugby tackle of Thiaw as the corner came in.

That aside, what an utter bell end.

Seeing this muppet make every excuse in the book makes me realise how lucky we have to Howe.

  11. How was that huddle thing Tierney’s fault? They could have moved to literally anywhere else in their own half…like every other team does.

Also there’s no way on god’s green earth that the Palmer/Woltemade’s incident a penalty.

Rosenoir should stick to being a LinkedIn lunatic

  12. Lots to unpack here:
    1) The clear penalty on Palmer that was so clear it wasn’t shown in the PL highlight reel? I don’t even remember it
    2) The highlight reel shows a clear and obvious penalty against Reece James. No comment.
    3) Your huddle performance is theatre. Nothing to do with football. Howe’s response is perfect
    4) You can stand where you like? Like in the middle of the opposition huddle? The opposition goalmouth? Anywhere?
    5) But the ref can’t be wherever he likes?
    6) Never had an opinion on Liam but always thought Leroy was sub-par footballer who managed to get a gig as a pundit somehow. Came across as a right twat. Nice to see he’s taking after his dad
    7) where has Paul Tierney been? Has he been sick? I didn’t realise he was still refereeing PL matches

  13. Huddled around the ref to try to intimidate him and now crying because they lost. Newcastle had a far clearer penalty shout for James wrestling down Thiaw. Bloke even has the audacity to say ‘I’ll never make excuses’ in his post match, before making about 5 😂 what a clown

  14. He needs medication
He thinks penalties are given for standing on your opponent’s foot and falling over.
Funny how palmer didn’t get punished for simulation
But if it was Jacob Ramsey…wait…

  15. Read a comment somewhere that Rosenior is the David Brent of football and it’s so accurate
