  1. Penalty and DOGSO, so red card. Absolutely no arguments. To those that want to make an argument, simply cope.

  2. I look forward to these being given week in week out

Edit: the boys are touchy today, presume they dont want these given week in week out then?

I guess the delay was over whether it’s a red?
I genuinely have no idea what the rules are these days but a pen and a red seems harsh.

Stupid from the lad. Don’t get me wrong a penalty and red all day long as in theory it’s a clear goal scoring opportunity, but it’s also Maeda and he could stick it in, or he could put it out for a throw.

The fact that Beaton was 10 yards away from that and didn’t give it himself is embarrassing

  6. So, as long as you let go first and throw yerself to the deck, shirt pulling and grabbing is OK now?

Maeda started pulling the Motherwell players shirt first.

Refs are very selective when they enforce shirt pulling.

  8. It’s a penalty.Real bit of naivety again shown by Motherwell.Really were the masters of their own downfall today.

  9. I look like that when I am trying to drag my cat under my arm in bed, what was he thinking

Imitially there was the sort of grappling you see at every corner, then the Motherwell player got on the wrong side and pulled him back. You can see why the ref maybe thought they were both at it in real time, but that’s definitely a penalty and a red card.
This is an example of VAR working as it should.

We’re getting penalties galore, who cares if their reluctant to give them. VAR works!
