We don’t have as much size as we sometimes do with Branthwaite and Tarkowski out. McNeil takes some set pieces but they won’t be as effective today with a slightly smaller lineup.
I would’ve much preferred George start in place of McNeil because that would be considered safe because he is a designated winger.
I can’t help but feel that if we are to score, it would likely be on the counter and to that end, Aznou would’ve been my preferred pick, especially since he would also be a good defensive option for a winger.
I’ve wanted McNeil playing in order to retain sale value but he could still do that by getting game time period, with possibly a few starts. I want the three points today and Aznou or George were the better options. Your move Dwight. Prove me wrong.
Maybe Garner should be in the midfield with Patterson starting but I feel much more strongly about Dwight starting than I do Garner’s positioning.

A bit concerning to not have a CB on the bench at all, but looking at the starting 11, I’m not saying to myself “oh no!” about anyone. It makes sense to start everyone who is starting, given the context. We’re going to have to keep things tight and be really switched on, but I wouldn’t be surprised at a result here. We are road warriors after all!
