I actually hope for Maddison's sake that he never has to play under Gareth Southgate.

Well Tomori has played in both the Premier League and Serie A. He is currently a League winner playing Champions League Football, but still doesn’t get a game ahead of Maguire.

If you say there's better players than maddison at the moment then where are they as since he joined leicester his stats are always strong but if he say played for spurs or man United then would he then get in for England and the answer is probably yes.
Here we have it, from the horse's mouth, pathway to England is PL n CL football, football doesn't exist outside England. No matter whatever you do n achieve, TOMORI n ABRAHAM, you're gonna be shunned. Tomori has won Serie A with Milan, one of the best defenders in the league n in Europe, has the approval of none other than the greatest defender of all time, PAOLO MALDINI himself, but hey, what does MALDINI know about defending? Southgate knows better, so there you go.
Falls on the first hurdle at WC, comprehensively outwitted in the Euros final, doesn't pick his best defender (TOMORI), doesn't pick his most creative player at a time when they can barely score a goal (MADDISON). But Southgate is a very intelligent man. There you go, English media at its very best.
Why does everyone keep talking about who is left out if he goes? Just pick a defensive player to stay home. Ridiculous limiting your attacking options.

The simple answer is no as Southgate doesn't want creative players as he want's 9 defenders and Kane the only forward up front. England are set up to lose as this generation of talent gets wasted by a man who got relegated with Middlesborough.

I can’t believe that Maddison hasn’t even been included in any of England games this year. Doesn’t matter what system Southgate is playing, if your down in 60-70th min and need to bring in playmaker, what other English player is better?
