as an outsider, except the jorgensen decision (which was partly taken by the sporting directors imo), rosenior has been very good for you guys. should’ve drawn at the very least, you need some calmness at the back.

This is heart breaking to watch , as fans we know they didn’t play bad ( it’s just we know the beautiful game doesn’t reward non clinical teams) you can create all you want but if you don’t take your chances and not concede YOU LOSE!

We have three goals in us. The only issue is that’s going to leave us open on the counter and there’s no chance this defence keeps a clean sheet.
Taking off Gusto for Garnacho is a horrendous decision not getting enough attention. It’s a two-legged Champions League tie. You’re down by 2. Lick your wounds and go again. But that attacking sub with 5 minutes left is in part why we conceded that last goal.
Rosenior is in over his head in my opinion. Worth giving him time obviously but damn what I would have given to have Maresca coaching us in the CL. For all his flaws he was great in these one off ties.

I don’t doubt the possibility of us being able to score three goals at the bridge, it’s keeping them out that’s going to be the problem.

It’s been years and Enzo’s striking technique from outside the box is still pretty fucking bad. He’s always lifting the ball instead of hitting it flat. You’d think for someone who says he’s watched a lot of Lampard play he’d have picked up some hints on how to be a threat from distance. He’s gotten good at arriving late but this area of his game is the next he needs to work on.

genuinely so infuriating to watch how we threw it away because of our own stupidity in just 15 mins

The way we carved them open at times last night gives me some hope we can cause an upset next week

That move at 1:20 is why Rosenior wants to pass out of the press. The only issue is that it ends up with Neto.
It’s high risk low reward tactic because our attacker can’t finish, except Pedro.

Lets go all out at the Bridge next Tuesday. Remontada!

We played very well, and deserved something from the match. We should be going back to the bridge with this game in our hands.
But yet again, in a big game, individual errors cost us dearly. Some of these players are absolutely brilliant, but others clearly just aren’t good enough to play regularly at this level. We need some major reinforcements in key areas, which is incredibly frustrating. Because we’ve spent a fortune, and known about these issues for an age. But still failed to address them.
Bar a lucky run, it’s hard to see how we win anything major until those problems are rectified.

I think we need Garnacho/Estevao to play instead of Neto, if we play Palmer-Enzo-Joao.
We are simply missing without him movement forward, somebody to stretch defenses with vertical runs, who will keep just moving forward. There are too many instances where we have a ball and everybody is waiting for the ball directly instead of into the run.
We can see it again and again – one player is making a run with a ball and everybody is slowing to his speed instead of making that run and risking of being in the offside.
Only Pedro is sometimes doing it, but not consistently – this is not against him, but rather to empower him to get into more and better chances.

I don’t think there’s a real argument for a sacking. But for the one game that genuinely had asymmetric upside – the kind that could have sparked a great finish to what has otherwise been another mixed season for Chelsea – choosing to gamble again with a system that clearly hasn’t worked is beyond me and warrants a very critical diagnosis of your overall approach.
I like the manager, but deep down I know this guy isn’t it. Sorry.
We can all hold on to hope, and I’ll back this team forever. But I’ve followed Chelsea long enough to recognize when something fundamental has changed. The short, cyclical but high-impact approach that once defined this club just isn’t there anymore.
Blame Russia, the ownership, the board, the recruitment, the principle, the principal, whatever you want. The reality is that the identity that made Chelsea ruthless and decisive feels like it’s gone and we’re just living moment to moment now. And the one chance we had to make another moment, we squandered it.

Its nice to see some rational fans in this comment section. We were the best English team in these first legs playing the hardest match up.

Not looking at this time cope and end up frustrated for the way we threw.
Can’t believe that Kepa was better than him. Sure he was bad long shots, but his save % was much better. Says a lot when Kepa is better than you.
Liam fucked it up.
The board been providing shit to the mangers to work with.

Tbh the coach did an amazing job. I don’t know why yall are complaining a lot. Sanchez just didn’t make a mistake in the cwc final and he played the ball alot. Jorgensen also looked slick until last 25 mins. I remember him dropping barcola twice. The goals by psg were incredible and hard to stop except the mistake. The game could have gone either way but it was about who could finish better. Maybe the last 25 mins was on coach but the rest of it was solid. I think you guys are throwing everything at one Jorgensen’s mistake. Remember sanchez atleast made 10 similar mistakes before becoming what he is today.

We need a decent GK. it fucks up our season every year and we lose almost 10 or more points in the league due to the blunders of our goalkeepers.
