Araujo PR so genuinely unreal. Shite after shite performances. Absolutely unfit to be a player for an elite team, let alone a captain

  2. How do people just expects him to become a top CB suddenly after all those mistakes he did in past, he’s just not made for this system. Everyone should know he’s 27 years old. We should move ahead.

More than the performance it’s the attitude. The context is so bad and you coming back slowly and then consciously decides not to fill his post is so unprofessional it’s a disgrace

Araujo’s mistake was also going for that attack on Rashford cross where he would get injured and could even barely walk back to defend and there was also lack of communication

Araujo at that moment should just requested to be change , the game was gonna be stop , and it would give a small breathing room for Barca , instead on that hectic moment Newcastle score on that single mis understanding from Barca defence

The context of this game is that Newcastle intensity and concentration were extremely high and this was one of their most important games in their history , so they were going out for the kill.

Camp Nou is our turn to go out with everything and be clinical.

  5. it is not an araujo mistake. It is a miscommunication. He is occupying a different position at the time, there are already two people in that area, also he probably pulled up so couldnt run fast.

  6. Exactly this! I was fuming so hard seeing this guy jogging back with not a care in the world. So much time to get back in position. At one point Araujo just completely turned his back to the action to look at Raphinha in RB… I mean come on!!! And as Henry pointed out, a player was calling him to come in but he was just indecisive and casual. Also he very nearly gave that penalty as well. We are lucky the ref didnt blow his whistle…because if he did it’s possible that the soft pen would’ve been upheld by var. He should never play for Barca again. And in the absence of Kounde I dont know why Flick doesn’t go Garard, Cubarsi, Araujo, Cancelo… Still better than making him RB and where he thinks he has ‘freedom’ to go ahead randomly.

  7. yea i would expect araujo to take his position, but i even more expect whoever is the boss (CB, like in the past puyol) to ORGANISE and TALK. nobody knew how to re-organise? crazy…

  8. His mentality has been gone for a long time. He’s just not made for the top tier and it’s been costing us big time in Europe.

  9. Araujo’s biggest issue is that he’s a bit distracted from time to time, the higher the stake the more he’s distracted for whatever reason. He actually plays well against smaller teams

This video doesn’t even address the completely disgraceful butt sliding back onto the pitch that resulted in his dumbass having to wait for the referee to wave him back into the game. What a dope

I was so happy with him right up until this stupid sequence of events. Forget his attacking he did so well and threw it away in a minutes time. I will never slander a player but this cannot be excused and somehow people don’t think he did any wrong lol.

I understand Araujo critics, and I’m absolutely okay with fair cristisim of a player. Like most of you, when Flick sub him during the Inter game, I was like hmmm I’m not sure about this one. I menber the PSG game too.

I don’t even want to defend him but you guys are going overboard with it.

He was alright at RB, when he is usually a CB. This game was fucking hard with the intensity and he made an hard run for Rashi cross, he pulled something and wanted to waisted time. The ref pulled him out the the play, he was coming back and Raphi was supposed to cover him.

I’m saying again, I understand the frustration but you have to be braindead to put this on Araujo. Tip your hat to Newcastle, Joan Garcia, Olmo, they were excellent last night.

I really want to insist on Newcastle’s tactical planning because they were on our neck, at the end of day, we were able to draw and we have the return leg at home.

  13. One of the biggest mistakes was to keep giving this idiot more chances, absolutely useless player

Alright, i get it I’m not gonna defend araujo anymore. if Henry says he bad then he bad. I really wished for him to reach his potential but something’s aren’t meant to happen.

If i had a nickel for every time a world class defender turned shit after coming to barca I’d have 2 nickels, which isn’t a lot but it’s weird it happens twice (umtiti)

  15. This was rly fun to watch, my man started to do the worm walk on the side pitch lol. This man don’t deserve barça shirt

He should’ve walked himself back in the pitch and drop to stop the game. Instead he did that stupid ass butt slide and in post fame interview said he didn’t understand the rules. He just tunes off for a fee seconds and ends up costing us every year. I get it we had Eric down right before the game but we are better off with a youngster filling in.

It’s always Araujo, and always with some dumb mistake. We have to get rid of him

  18. Intelligent-Egg1864 on

People focus on Araujo but he’s waived off it seems. He was injured at that point, and hes being told to remain in his spot in the midfield it seems. It seems like more of a miscommunication issue on the field and poor decision making of multiple players. personally, at that point we should have been defending with 6 people if needed to ensure we don’t receive a goal and make the sub asap. we have to keep in mind at this point we have so many backups on the pitch the team is basically second tier.

  19. Yes sometimes former footballers are wrong and Henry is def. wrong on this one. Why the fuck would Araujo go to right back position when Raphinha is already occupying that space and leave another space open for fun. If he had done that and a pass had been made at the position he was standing to a free player and he scored people would blame him for going to RB position when Raphinha is already covering that.
Raphinha lost his man and the left side let a free cross in. Those are the problems and not Araujo not taking same space as Raphinha.

You people blaming Araujo for this goal and Henry arguing Araujo should go cover same space as Raphinha or change positions in the middle of an opponent attack is fucking dumb. Raphinha could easily have defended that if he didn’t lose his marker.
