Penalty saved us, but we played like shite. Zero intensity in first half, and our players were moving like tractors during counters.

Need to be careful in next leg.

We’re lucky we got away with that. Terrible game especially from the attack who could’ve done a lot better. They couldn’t control the ball properly, couldn’t keep the ball, passing and crossing was all over the place, one shot on target inside 80 minutes. Really really bad performance.

The only thing that I would commend is the solid defensive performance (other than Araujo’s brainfart)

Nah, I’d be gutted as a Newcastle fan. I’ll take the tie, but we played like shit.

  4. Escaping that one with a draw feels like a win going back to the camp nou. Nightmare performance overall

Sluggish. Lazy. Exhausted. Could not even put two passes together other than Cubarsi to Martin. And somehow still ended 1-1. We can count ourselves lucky.

Araujo actually had a decent match but I cannot understand why he is time-wasting. We are goddamn Barca! Why would we waste time in a 0-0? Not to say that it indirectly lead to Newcastle’s goal where Araujo was nowhere to be found.

The entire team had an off day today. I trust in the return leg but something has to change.

It’s clear as many people here called, we spent way too much energy on the Atleti game and have been playing gassed since. When will we learn like Real Madrid that the copa is a bonus trophy at best ffs. 83% passing accuracy. I can’t recall a time where we were that poor on the ball. Lucky to get the last minute pen. Pedri got rest too. Hopefully the team is rested for the next tie and we put them to the sword.

This was the worst game barcelona played this season and this was the best possible outcome we could get out of this game.

yeah bruv, try this shit against arsenal, might be more atrocious than 8-2

Edit : Also ucl level football is completely different than LaLiga, and somehow most still dont understand that point, Bernal and Fermin are yet to prove at the ucl level, esp Fermin given how many games in ucl he has already played, FDJ is paramount to this team or else we are just putting pedri under extra overload against physical and high pressure teams

Need someone to pull up Raphinha’s passing stats for the game. If you’re not sharp at least play the safe passes, lost possession during transitions atleast 4-5 times.

  11. Hope Roony gets the start this weekend. Lamine has played every minute for a while now it’d be nice to have him somewhat rested for once

And for all you dummies, Ronald wasn’t at fault for the gol, Raphina is already covering for him , you don’t just swap positions WHILE they’re in your final 3rd! Raphina needed to cover that position until the play was dead , but instead he ball watched and let his player get behind him

  13. Positives:
    – Xavi Espart looked REALLY good, he only had 3 or 4 interventions but they were all critical, I couldn’t believe this was his debut.

    Negatives:
    – Literally everything else. We can attribute some 40% to injuries and exhaustion, but the rest is all us not working around this at all.

  14. I think this is the scenario flick wanted, draw at st james park. We played a more defensive game. Imo great match from cubarsi and martin. I expect to see a Barca at full power for the return leg.

I hope Bernal isn’t injured we need everyone rn

  15. Who told you that playing against Newcastle would be easy? Why did people keep saying that Barcelona got an easy way and that not reaching the final would be a disappointment? Did you guys start watching football yesterday?

The amount of cucks and doomers in every MT just kills off any hype I have before the game, better off going to the r/soccer MT and engaging with the Premtards there. Mfs just want to sell half the players after 1 off game and declare that we aren’t winning any trophies this season.

Scammed a draw somehow, trust the team to show up better in the second leg, especially with the 60k fans back.

The players exhausted to a point where Flick is forced to change the tactics and to rotate.

We need to adjust to the situation, we can’t Play against Sevilla with those who played today and are expected to succeed coming week.

Flick needs to risk something, he needs to rotate.

Ferran, Raphina, and Lewas form is scary lately. We seriously need to improve up top.
