Last night on Clyde SSB, a fan (a Kilmarnock one at that) rightly pointed out that only one set of fans went onto to the park with the intent to cause trouble.
Roger Hannah did his usual "both sides to blame" bit that Scottish journalists are programmed to do. But Andy Halliday went a step further and claimed that some Celtic fans were running to the centre circle and were goading the Rangers fans.
The only problem is that there is no footage of this. This despite a lot of broadcaster coverage, and people with phone cameras.
Well done to "Born Celtic" for spotting this. See: https://youtu.be/GBA-WbnHGaE?si=11e5rNQwsd6ZNsWz
Perhaps he saw something nobody else did, or perhaps the emotion of the situation clouded his perception. It would be a terrible thing to lie about.
Be interesting to see if anyone challenges it, or reports to Ofcom etc.
This would be a golden chance for our club to stand up for the fans too.

Andy Halliday can come across alright as well. Disappointed with him and a lot of the media for not calling a spade a spade.
Eventually someone will speak up and say how it is. Unfortunately Scottish football isn’t ready.
Do you expect intelligent, non biased commentary from Andy Halliday?
Christ complaints to ofcom. Guys a weapon making spurious claims to cover for the mouth breathers laugh at him, point it out and move on.
I’m not sure ‘goading’ is a problem anyway. Goading the opposition is part and parcel of any football match. Granted, Celtic fans shouldn’t have been on the pitch, but it was just exuberance. A bit of taunting of the opposition is surely expected!
There’s a big difference between a bit of goading and running the length of the pitch in gimp outfits and firing flares into the away end. Halliday knows this, too, but he has to stay loyal and true.
Halliday is usually pretty balanced on SSB as well, but he’s obviously still in Hun headloss mode with these claims.
They’re so desperate to make it both sides™️ had to turn it off after 5 minutes last night.
Mainstream media use the blame both sets of fans to appease.
I like Halliday but he has previous for this.
He said something similar about Scott Brown after a derby only for tv cameras to prove him wrong
Surely he means playing staff and coaches near the centre circle. Those ones that looked like they were assaulted by fans of one team.
on the Ofcom note , stv should be called out for fake news about those seats
It’s a venue where we had snooker balls and 9v batteries thrown on to the pitch, a smashed bottle in the goalkeepers area, away fans injured with flying Buckie bottles, away staff attacked on the park, fans heads stomped on trying to get on the supporters bus, the charge sheet is extensive as well as the reason, they can’t handle getting beat, it’s shameful thy try and mitigate that with they were goaded, Halliday will always take his chance to put the boot in because he will always remember 60,000 Celtic fans sing his name as he was subbed off
