[Mitten] From United perspective it’s simple: If Barcelona don’t agree to the terms & option to buy set in the loan, Rashford returns to Old Trafford. There will be no renegotiation & club feel there won’t be shortage of suitors. Club also don’t recognise rumours that Carrick or club want him back.

**Article** is primarily about him returning against Newcastle tonight.

    **Interesting bits:**

**From United’s perspective it is simple: If Barcelona don’t agree to the terms and option to buy set out in the loan when the contract is up in June, then he returns to Old Trafford with a year of his contract left to run.**

**There will be no renegotiation and United feel there will be no shortage of suitors for a player who has proved his worth in La Liga this term.**

**United also do not recognise rumours that Carrick or the club wants Rashford back and financially, the numbers do not add up when it comes to him playing for United again. He earns too much and his United contract, which runs until 2028, is loaded towards the 28-year-old earning even more.**

The Mancunian **moving to Barcelona was good for all parties, his race at United was run** and his reputation lower than it is now. Rehabilitation came in the form of a loan spell at Aston Villa.

Rashford has contributed a creditable 10 goals (four in La Liga, five in the Uefa Champions League, one in the cup) and 13 assists so far. Barcelona did not bring him into to be their top scorer as he was three times at Manchester United, but to bolster the forward line.

Rashford is in a good place. Reports recently suggested that Barcelona would try to negotiate a lower fee. There were also reports that Michael Carrick wanted him back at United.

This is the correct position to take publically and privately.

However if Rashford digs his heels in AND is willing to miss all preseason to hold out for a cut price Barca move by the end of the window, it won’t be good….for anyone.

Let’s hope not, at least for our sake.

  3. I just really hope Rashford doesn’t do us dirty like Antony and Garnacho by demanding to only go to a certain club. We could easily get 25m for him and I think the clause Barca have is actually under his market value

  4. Why would the club dismiss that rumour. Having rumours that Carrick want Rashford back is good, shows Barca that they have no leverage to renegotiate the price.

  5. Brought to you by the guy who said the above at the end of 2020 while apparently secretly getting information from LVG, Jose and Ole that he was a problem.

I don’t trust Mitten on Rashford at all

Edit: below as images seem not to be working.

  6. As much as I don’t want Rashford back, I’m sick of clubs trying to low ball for our players. Pay up or fuck off

Good, no more backing down, hope Rashford also tries to convince Barca to not act like some hobo living on the street when it comes to paying money. He has made pay cuts to this wages already, pay us or fuck off.

  8. He’s already performed better than the bums they paid more than double for like Griezmann and Coutinho

Im in the biggest minority but i would genuinely take him back, despite preferring the 30 mil, he is a good player and i think he would have still something to give and it pains me a lot because he was my favorite player pre bruno. Overall its just a shitty situation for all parts

Just get rid of him. Don’t miss the chance to offload the whiny little emo tosser. He’ll be rubbish if he comes back here. Absolutely rubbish.
