Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick on what makes tomorrow’s opponents Newcastle so good as they prepare to do battle at St. James’ Park in the Champions League. Flick was also asked for comment on Barca legend Xavi’s recent criticism.

Barca were lucky last time, no one admits it, because if not for Rashford's bravery from having a point to prove, they'd have lost the game. Physical sides like us they cannot cope well with. Newc need to take full advantage of that. No silly Thiaw/Hall/Burn/Kieran errors reacting too slow as per, and ffs S Tonali STOP walking to get the ball back, and really take it to them, dont show too much respect. Barnes, or prob Elanga, Gordon here cant be wasteful!!!!!!! Its an evening game and we are woeful at evening matches, but being up for it it seems, i think the players will try its just whether or not if we go a goal down, we start to cave like man city. Bcos if we do, then forget the 2nd leg in spain cos barca will walk it. Also, believe it or not, Barca have players back fit who can win the game, but even if them players dont impact the match, others can. We just have to be a massive threat and win duals! Be on the front foot and control more of the game. Obv we no Bruno, no schar, but if we can set the pace our way, i think we can win. The real issue is the away game. Barca arent impossible to beat, but they generally do enough and wake up as the game goes on. We really have to be mega awake!!!!!
