Maybe he should tell the police to come with an actual plan next time

    > “What I want to make clear is the police have my full support in pursuing everyone involved in this incident, also that we will work constructively with the clubs – who must be horrified by the scenes that they witnessed – as well to address the situation, to work with the Scottish Football Association, to make sure that collaboratively and collectively, we do all that we can to make sure that these types of incidents have no place in Scottish football.”

Personal responsibility etc but absolutely no mention of the hint of the policing operation being bizarre is exactly what I expected.

  3. Dunno about anyone else but felt like there wasn’t that many police on the pitch during the invasion – was more a mix of stewards and police with batons but with massive gaps in between them. Seemed very slow to react but assumed that it was just stewards at that point.

  4. No real big words. No mention of a summit. No terrible footballing puns. Salmond or Sturgeon wouldn’t have allowed this type of statement to have gone out.

After Desmond’s epic and Hamilton shenanigans they’ve got to realise this kind of stuff just doesn’t cut it anymore.

After both disallowed goals each set of fans breached the stands up to the advertising boards. How that wasn’t taken as a warning with a line of police behind each goal I’ll never know.

  6. I think the lack of away fan allocations didn’t help with the way things went down yesterday. I feel a lot of the tension from yesterday has been bottled up over the last season or so.

As soon as tav missed the pen they should of made a wall in front of celtic supporters. Pure naive to think it wouldnt boil over if either side won.

The only prosecutions I’d like to see from yesterday, from what I saw, was the guy chucking the flare in to the crowd. That’s madness. And the guy’s who stamped on that fellas head beside the bus.

The rest can be dealt with by the clubs.

The state the Broomloan was left in is an absolute disgrace. I cannot believe we still have people who are brain-dead enough to mock an event where young children went to a game and never came back. That lot should surely know better considering their apparent “disgust” with the Israel situation.

Anyone who wrote those messages on the walls or watched someone do it and isn’t sickened needs to get their head checked. Wouldn’t be laughing if someone they loved got caught in something like that. Should be absolutely zero allocation next season. They cannot behave themselves and they have shown it numerous times.
