Always two sides to a story. He apparently had 22 unsuccessful contract disucssions with Man United to stay – which incldued a great offer on the table where he was happy with the wages but the image rights were apparently the issue. That’s why he was sold. Incredible player. Hero of mine. But don’t make out that you would have done anything to stay at the club, because you could have just accepted the contract.
