Lesley Bamberger is the new chairman of the RvC (SB) of Ajax. His nomination was particularly motivated by his extensive entrepreneurial and managerial experience as owner/CEO of Kroonenberg Group (since 1996) and his demonstrable track record in professional football as (former) owner and supervisory board member of Almere City (2010-2025). With that club he was promoted to the Eredivisie in 2023.
According to Ajax, the new chairman of the Supervisory Board has – with his broad experience in real estate and football as an entrepreneur and director – a strong entrepreneurial insight, a long track record within the Dutch business community and a deep-rooted bond with Amsterdam. He is chairman of FC Centrum and a member of the Ajax Association.
Bamberger is also the father in law of Steven Berghuis 😉
