I don’t think it would’ve been good for Barca. I know he’s the goat but we needed to develop Yamal and Raphinha needed time to build his confidence. If Messi came all of us would’ve treated Raphi the same way we treated Coutinho and Griezmann cuz we knew we had a team to win stuff with if Messi was there and also if he insisted on playing on the right, Yamal’s defelopment would’ve been fucked.

Laporta said a few days ago that Leo’s father informed him after visiting his home that Messi chose Miami because of the pressure. I don’t believe the pressure aspect, Messi just didn’t want young players forced to leave for him. Of course I believe Xavi, Laporta isn’t a saint, remember he did Xavi dirty towards the end.

Man I am the biggest Messi fan but its time to let him to. The man left 5 years ago, and the team was utter shit for some time because there was no “pass it to the GOAT” get out of jail card. Why would u bring him back after the team finally figures out a way of playing without relying on him? To go through the whole process once again? Why is he a topic in an election now? 2. Messi and Laporta hate each other ( probably Messi hates Laporta more than anything, Laporta just did what he had to do at the time, and later he was simply being cold politician )
that’s it, it shouldn’t really change anything, for me personally as fan who doesn’t live in Barcelona and who fell in love with Barca cause of Messi / Ronaldinho, it is “big deal” indeed that Messi return was fumbled and relationship soured, but at same time doesn’t mean i would want club to go to shit because of that
in the end that’s assuming everyone is telling the truth, i don’t think Xavi is someone who would stir the shit in club after everything he gave to it, but people are also really easy to corrupt and money talks so..
tl;dr we can’t travel back in time so we need to prioritize club, once there is candidate who is better than Laporta he can take over, but as of now i don’t see it

Yea I think Xavi hates Laporta, its honestly really sad he is behind Victor Font. I once thought back in the 22/23 szn Xavi, Laporta and Alemany were gonna build and iconic team together for yrs to come.
