  1. From the article:

    > Callum Wilson has agreed a one-year contract extension with West Ham just weeks after being on the brink of leaving the club.

    > The 34-year-old was in talks over terminating his contract in January following the arrival of forwards Taty Castellanos and Pablo, but has forced his way back into the plans of Nuno Espírito Santo as the club bid for Premier League survival.

    > It is understood that an agreement in principle is in place for his deal to be extended beyond the summer, when it was due to expire.

Fairly pleased with this. He’s very useful in the role he currently plays for us.

  3. Good, he’s still got it and as well as his natural goalscoring instincts being Farr better than most of the other 1,000 forwards we’ve signed in the Sullivan era, his technical ability on the ball is better than almost all of them and probably most of the midfielders and defenders we’ve signed over that period too.

  4. Bit odd from both club and player perspective to be agreeing new deals when we don’t know what division we’ll be in next year

Really glad, not been as clinical since Spurs but a fantastic option to have on the bench and no doubt in the dressing room. Hope he hits 100 Prem goals with us!

  6. I’m ok with this. Also hopefully he gets a normal footballing contract and not a pay-as-you-play thing

But I’m surprised since he publicly wanted to leave

IS this signposting that whether we go down or stay up Nuno will be in charge next season (which based on the past couple of months I’m quite happy with)… if they were planning on ditching him if we go down you’d think they’d want the new manager to have control of the squad.

Weird after how bad he was against Fulham. I suppose he is a useful player to have on the bench, but this (pretty successful) system Nuno is using relies on two centre forwards who press relentlessly, which he never does.
