Here’s a theoretical question I’ve been pondering.
The context is Spurs and their fans. I’ve seen a lot of rhetoric from them about how Everton fans turned Goodison into a fortress during our relegation battles. Things like welcoming the team bus, generating a huge atmosphere outside the stadium and inside, being behind the team with noise. It did seem to help.
So the question, could we achieve the same atmosphere if needed at the Hill Dickinson? How much of what the fans did was down to the compact, old fashioned design of Goodison?
