      This stat is fairly irrelevant. It’s not the source of time wasting.

      Sudden injury and eventual full recovery when the opponent gains some attacking momentum stats please. Frequency and duration.

      Time taken for a corner, free kick, throw-in or goal kick when in the lead please.

      They’re only allowed to hold for 8 seconds, which means he’s actively timing it.

      Yes none of the Arsenal players, goalkeeper included, waste time on the pitch. Totally weren’t time wasting from minute 10 against Brighton. Raya top 3 fastest releasers of the ball yes!

      Honestly makes sense but I honestly thought time was just moving slowly for me from PTSD of Obama facing a shot at goal

      Surely taking a goalkick is a bigger metric for time wasting. GKs can’t hold into the ball forever now so they’d have to drop it to their feet

      Ironically think this is a great example of what makes Lammens so much better than Onana and Bayindir.
      He is totally calm throughout the whole game, takes his time and does his best to always make the right decision. Even if he maybe can’t pass a ball as well as Onana (was supposed to be able to anyway)

      In the Newcastle game I noticed he was doing a lot of looking upfield, trying to spot an opening, and then if there was none dropping the ball, rolling it back and then laying it off.

      I would rather have lammens kicking the ball out of the pitch than losing possession.. we don’t have players to nullify the press apart from mianoo or Martinez

      I’ve noticed it in other games but it was really obvious against Newcastle.

      I do wonder how much this has varied under Amorim vs Carrick.

      This makes no sense. Seeing this metric also makes no sense. Literally nothing can be derived from this statistic.

      I think Lammens hesitates most of time during the release. So he takes more time than others and this adds up to this stats.

      This isn’t necessarily a bad thing either way, it makes him appear more calm and collected, which is something we’ve been missing after a few years with Onana.

      Him learning to release the ball quickly when there’s a potential counter would be good though, but he might be already.

      So if he picks up the ball 10 times in a game it’s a total of 40 seconds “time wasted” compared to nick pope… who even cares??

      i think it actually shows no teams are scared of our gk releasing the ball quickly because we’re very dangerous on the transitions. if you watch our games you would realize anytime he grabs the ball there’s someone always blocking him from take a quick throw to start an attack

      Be interesting to see if there has been a difference between Amorim and Carrick. I’ve personally not noticed it, seems more like waiting for Mbeumo/Amad and Cunha to get closer to Sesko after tracking back.

      This is probably a case where statistics are misleading. Let’s see the median time and who is in the 90th and 95th percentile.

      It’s meaningless out of context. And there’s a semi well policed rule preventing abuse of this. Meanwhile Newcastle get away with spending 1 min per goalkick. They should be refunding their fans 50% considering they take nearly 40mins on average to restart play in games.
