Yes we need more football games, the 46 games they play in the championship and the additional 4 games to get into the prem is not cutting it anymore. Let’s extend it to 60 games in a year, just in the championship. Plus the 2 cups.
Seriously though, there is way too much football already, we should be cutting down the number of games.

I get the playoffs in general aren’t universally popular, but I don’t mind them for giving more teams something to play for.
Making it 6 teams is stupid though. 8th is basically midtable. They don’t deserve a shot at promotion. At that point, why stop there if all they want is an end of season crapshoot.

If the idea is to make the games at the end of the season more relevant they have failed. If you are fourth or fifth there is every chance you will not get automatic promotion but are guaranteed a play off space.

Never been a fan of the playoffs, why should a team finishing 20-30 points behind 3rd get a one off shot at promotion?
