[Henry Winter] It’s Carrick, you know. Can’t believe the chippiness from Scholes. It’s Carrick who’s helping out the club he loves, stepping into the breach after Amorim’s meltdown…

  1. I thought Scholes was retiring to take care of his son? should just stfu and do that and we all would have love him. Instead the man just take a shot at the club/player/manager at every chance he gets to stay relevant.

  2. Glad it’s getting some attention and his negativity is being questioned here. Screw u Paul scholes. Carrick brought back some hope and joy. You’re just a bitter old fart.

  3. I agree which is why we shouldn’t rush into a decision on Carrick. Wait till the end of season before we decide when other managers are also on the table. Carrick cannot become another Ole

  4. Scholsey and GNev know the only way for them to stay relevant is to come up with hot (or awful) takes

  5. Nothing more pathetic than the pundits like Scholes who obviously wouldn’t make it in management themselves, but spend all their energy tearing down the people who actually do go into management.

Remember the Ole years when none of them would say a word and it was all about how poor owners were, what changed? Why have Scholes and Keane specifically become so specifically anti-carrick in the last 3 months?

  6. I think the reaction to last night was a bit OTT

yes we all got giddy, yes there was a 0.1% chance of 21 coming but our main goal is to finish top 4.
Villa lost, Liverpool lost, Cheslea won, were still third, 7 wins from here absolutely guarentees third.

We know the midfield need improvement, we know Mainoo isnt the 38 game a season man yet, we know we need a LW and a second striker when Sesko isnt working. Lets get to the end of the season and see where we are.

Im still more keep Carrick than anyone else, I think the only 2 I would replace him with is Nagelsmann or Erique, if neither are available Ive seen enough to give Carrick a chance with summer, new players, and his backroom staff settled in.

I thought it was very low from Scholes, considering I seen him gassing Carrick up like less than a week ago.

He seems like a miserable sod that bases his opinion solely on what happened last

Honestly despise all the loud mouth ex players who failed at management or couldn’t handle the heat of it with absolutely nothing useful or helpful to say.

I feel like they’re genuinely enjoying the club suffer like this as it somehow makes them feel better about themselves.

Jesus! we’ve found ourselves in a position where we are siding with Henry Winter and not Paul Scholes. Fucking Scholes, my favourite ever United player, feel for the guy and have a lot of respect for him for how he changed his life to care for his son, but man o man this was really unwarranted and unnecessary. Whatever baggage there is between them, he should not be so public about his disdain. And I’m saying this as a supporter who was still sceptical about giving the full time job to Carrick pre Newcastle, but one can’t deny the great job he’s doing, even after yesterday’s performance and result.

something is genuinely wrong with majority of the class of 92. this has been happening for so long and we all know they’re doing it for the views. Carrick’s been doing great so far, but it’s still too early for him to be considered as the next manager of this club

I have no idea what this guy’s problem is. Have we been scraping results in the last few games? Yes. He could’ve left it there and it still would’ve been a bit annoying, but understandable. Deciding to have a pop at ‘Michael’ is just really bitter though. It’s as if he was watching from a Geordie pub with a Shearer shirt on waiting for us to lose.

  12. Guys, it’s 1 loss in 8. Why tf are we reacting as if there is a tragedy already.

Scholes speaks like a man whose life is pure misery. He achieved so much and yet. People like him tend to get even more insufferable with age, though.

  14. redflagflyinghigh on

Scholes acting like he never lost a game he should have won.

Oldham fans could throw shade on his management career.

  15. There is a divide that’s formed between the class of 92 and the fans, particularly newer ones.

The class of 92 feel as though they’ve earned the right to be heard. And the fans think they are impeding the growth/development of the team.

He probably gets thousands of hateful messages. That’s why he’s like this.

I’d love to see Scholes attempt to become manager and get sacked after two games

  17. Jealousy pure and simple. These guys think they could have done the same or better

  18. maverick_soul_143747 on

We should kind of stop giving importance to the class of 92. Carrick is atleast helping us out. I have lost the respect for Scholes. These guys are just the dogs in the manger..🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️

Scholes is bitter. He couldnt crack the managerial game. I imagine he’s jealous that Carrick got this opportunity and he was never close to it

And people wonder why top managers don’t want to come to this club anymore? We have to be the only top club whose ex players can’t wait at the first chance they get to shit on our own players, coaches, managers, staff while moaning about the good ol days, fergie era, and silverware.

Overinflated egos making money being trolls because they were lucky to play in a stacked team with an amazing manager and, let’s be real, the overall league not as competitive as today. They can all eat a bag of dicks

None of those bums had the audacity to apologize on ANY of the recent criticism delivered against our players – sesko, mainoo, licha – prior to games, especially when all those players performed and have been playing their hearts out.

For dudes who love yapping and sucking off the fergie era they know better than anyone that even fergie would hate this behavior and would rip them a new one

  21. It’s not Carrick’s squad, nor was it ever really Amorim’s…it goes on and on.

Ten Hag is probably the only manager we’ve had post-Fergie that got close to what he wanted, but unfortunately he was shit at identifying talent.

This is not a dig on Carrick by the way, rather so our structural issues that mean that no manager ever gets to build a full squad and that we’re constantly in a stage of transition. No wonder results go up and down.

Scholes played alongside him for about 8 years and won I want to say 5 PL’s and a CL……. wtf is his problem with him?

It seems like he personally dislikes Carrick even though they were team mates for almost a decade in arguably our most successful run……

He seems to dislike him so much that he’s celebrating Newcastle beating us, the bitter little cunt has been sat there hate watching us and waiting for a bad result so he can stick the boot in at the first opportunity, wtf did Carrick do to him during them years? lol 🤷‍♂️

  23. This fan base is so wrecked man we literally lost for the first time in 10 games – for the rest of eternity we’re going to lose games we SHOULD have won. Scholes talks way too much shit and it annoys me so much because he’s one of my favourite footballers all time (all this shit talking makes me favour Bruno)

  24. lonelynightm on

My only hope is this is one of those learning moments where you learn to never put Malacia on the field in any circumstances. Better to just go down to 10 men if you have to.

  25. Scholes is wrong but Carrick is not the right man for the job. Both can be true

  26. tearsandpain84 on

Being a good footballer doesn’t make you a good person or an intelligent person. Most of the class of 92 seem like fairly horrible people, Giggs, Scholes, Butt, Beckham… not good people. The Neville’s can be a bit irritating but at their core I do think they are good people.
