Pope dropped. Hope Big Nick is ok with his illness. Nice to see Ramsey is fine to start. Time for Elanga to score against his former club and terrorise them.

  2. Regardless of the result just keep ramsdale in goal going forward. he might not be the answer for forever but he needs a solid run in the team.

  3. Crazy to me that Howe wanted Wissa so bad and overpaid for him, but cant get game time and rather put Gordon as a false nine.

  4. Oooh

Eddie actually dropping Pope and no mystery injury

Big call and actually un-Eddie like or at least according to some

Now they are just fucking with us with the way they order these, start with keeper (good start) and then go in number order!

Big call to drop Pope. The high press is the only reason Gordon is any use up front, so let’s hope we actually do it.

    HWTL!

  7. Glad to see Ramsdale in for Pope, equally poor at stopping shots but him actually being able to pass a ball should put us under less pressure, in theory.

  8. Pope dropped, Woltey ill- I don’t mind that front trio with Gordon centre forward anymore- it CAN look dynamic and exciting….It can also look awful.

I’ll be honest, I haven’t been this despondent about the club and team for years. That Everton game makes me feel like we won’t win a game in March and our season is dead. Then no Europe so our best want to leave and we’ll never replace that quality so we could genuinely be in bottom half permanently next season.

    I don’t want to be…. But it’s the truth.

I bet Botman regrets signing the new contract. Burn could be 38 and he’ll still start ahead of him.

Burn had a visible issue with his ribs on Saturday. Why isn’t Botman getting the nod? If he’s still injured shouldn’t he not be on the bench?

  11. So we are starting with 0 strikers… whilst Man U are starting with 3, 2 of which we tried to buy this summer 😢

Good to see Ramsey back in. He was looking great in recent games and a big miss when he went off against Everton.

  13. Glad to see him bite the bullet on Ramsdale. Would’ve preferred Botman over Burn but other than that as expected.

I know I’m touching on a sensitive subject but does any know if Thiaw is fasting for Ramadan? I expected Botman to start ahead of him for that reason.

Edit: actually I’m forgetting this game is being played after dark. Probably more applicable for weekend games.

  15. So happy pope is not playing
Even though Ramsdale is yet to keep a clean sheet (Am I correct?)
I am more confident in him for a must not loose match

Well at least Big Nick will be puking in the comfort of his own home. Hope for a speedy recovery for him.

Let’s see how we go, I’m neither optimistic nor writing this one off, so fingers crossed.

Im thankful for what pope has done for us, that being said Id rather not see him start for us again, Id ride with Ramsdale til the end of the season regardless now
