Strict action should be a must if any player makes derogatory remarks/words .
Damn. Not a good look. Can’t you just call someone a twat without bringing up race or sexuality.
I’m confused (and don’t know the backstory), did he randomly just admit to using those words without any accusations or was it clear already that he said it (referee/others heard it) and just admitted to it?
That explains the red card as no one knew what it was for at the time. Took just the 4 months to reveal it.

This shows a lot of integrity. I too used the word gay in a derogatory way growing up. Maturing came with realizing the impact these phrases and other immature words and actions have on people.
Bad moments don’t define people, how they respond to them is what defines them.
Fletcher taking responsibly is a good sign he has a good head on his shoulders.
