All I think when I hear Charlie Adam’ name is that he was the slowest professional footballer I have ever seen.
I’m sure I mind him sitting deep while Liverpool took a corner and the other team got possession, went on the counter and by the time Adam had gone from 10 yards or so outside the centre circle to the other end of it everyone had moved from one box to the other past him. It was hilarious.
