  1. The train will be able to take 20,000 per game apparently. By the time you account for the fact that FIFA allocates literally about a third of the stadium for VIPs etc who definitely aren’t taking public transport, then I’d imagine the vast majority of Scotland fans will be accommodated by the train anyway.

  2. American’s disdain for public transport is mental. Why does anywhere need 20,000 parking spots ffs.

  3. In my opinion there was no point going to Foxborough without a match ticket even before this. Defo best to go to a fan zone or a bar with people in Boston or whenever the tartan army chooses to assemble itself.

First game is 9pm ET on a Saturday night as well which means everyone will be well oiled

  4. Looks like the wording has confused people a bit with this too. “General” parking will be down to 5,000 but when you see it in context it seems like that’s not the same as parking for VIPs etc who take up a massive chunk of the ticketing at World Cup games. Plus “other transportation providers” whatever that is:

Maybe most relevant for Scotland fans to know is the train that will be moving 20,000+ will leave from South Station and not stop elsewhere, so if you’re staying somewhere other than Boston and had planned on a direct train you’re scunnered

  5. Why couldn’t we have been stuck with 2 games in Mexico and 1 in Canada?

I get we would have to beat someone in the final in America but still.

  6. So many negative/potential problem posts about this world cup already! I’m frankly glad my club didn’t qualify.
